Overall goal


Mit diesem Projekt soll die Kreditlinie für die Spar- und Kreditkassa der HandwerkerInnnen und Bauern/Bäuerinnen Burkinas (MECAP) erhöht werden, die im März eingeräumt wurde (Vertragsnummer 2495-00/2007).


Ziel ist es, den nachhaltigen Zugang zu Krediten für HandwerkerInnen und Bauern/Bäuerinnen in Burkina Faso zu verbessern.


Die Österreichische Kontrollbank erhöht den im März 2007 eingeräumten Kredit in Höhe von 250.000 Euro um weitere 95.000 Euro. Diese Summe kann mehrfach über insgesamt fünf Jahre bei jährlicher Rückführung ausgenutzt werden. Die Zinsen wurden an die aktuelle Marktsituation angepasst und werden zum Teil (3%) von der OEZA finanziert. Die Mikrofinanzinstitution kann durch die Ausweitung der Kreditmittel und die erzielbaren Spannen ihre Filialstrukturen aufbauen und verbessern.


Die Zielgruppe der Spar- und Kreditkasse sind lokale HandwerkerInnen und LandwirtInnen. Die zustäzlichen Mittel sollen zur Förderung der Reichweite der MECAP auf weitere 12 Provinzen dienen.


Die technische Assistenz wird durch die Entwicklungswerkstatt Austria sichergestellt und im Rahmen des Projektes 2495-00/2007 finanziert.
