Overall goal


respect - Institut für integrativen Tourismus und Entwicklung widmet sich dem Themenbereich des weltweiten Tourismus und seinen Auswirkungen auf Gesellschaft, Umwelt und Entwicklung. Schwerpunkte der Arbeit sind Öffentlichkeits- und Bildungsarbeit sowie angewandte Forschung und Initiativen zu Themen der Nachhaltigen Entwicklung im Tourismus. Ziel dabei ist, mit positiven Beispielen und Erfahrungen Reisende, Reiseveranstalter und Verantwortliche im Tourismus für die Bedeutung einer nachhaltigen Tourismusentwicklung ("Faires Reisen") zu sensibilisieren.


Mit dem vorliegenden Projekt für 2010 werden Informations- und Öffentlichkeitsarbeit sowie Bildungsangebote fortgeführt und weiterentwickelt. Inhaltlich setzt respect dabei einen Fokus auf die Themenschwerpunkte "Fairer Handel,CSR,Menschenrechte im Tourismus" und "Klimawandel und Tourismus". Kooperationen mit MultiplikatorInnen (Tourismuswirtschaft, NRO, Medien) sollen fortgesetzt, zahlreiche Maßnahmen und Materialien der Vorjahre werden weiterentwickelt eingesetzt. Darüber hinaus wird die (inter)nationale Netzwerkarbeit intensiviert und das Engagement für die internationale Zusammenarbeit zum Thema kommerzieller, sexueller Kindesmissbrauch im Tourismus (code of conduct, ECPAT) fortgeführt. Wesentlich bleibt die Information von Reisenden in Entwicklungsländer, dabei setzt respect auf das Medium Internet und auf Medienarbeit. Am Förderschwerpunkt "Ke Nako Afrika - Afrika jetzt!" 2010 beteiligt sich respect mit aktuellen Beiträgen über interessante Tourismusprojekte in Afrika.


Das Projekt wird aus OEZA-Mitteln in der Höhe von Euro 80.000,- (75,10 % des Gesamtprojektvolumens) gefördert.

  • Type of Aid – Aid modalities: classifies transfers from the donor to the first recipient of funds such as budget support, core contributions and pooled programmes and funds to CSOs and multilateral organisations, project-type interventions, experts and other technical assistance, scholarships and student costs in donor countries, debt relief, administrative costs and other in-donor expenditures.
  • Purpose/ sector code: classifies the specific area of the recipient’s economic or social structure, funded by a bilateral contribution.
  • Tied/Untied: Untied aid is defined as loans and grants whose proceeds are fully and freely available to finance procurement from all OECD countries and substantially all developing countries. Transactions are considered tied unless the donor has, at the time of the aid offer, clearly specified a range of countries eligible for procurement which meets the tests for “untied” aid.
