Overall goal


respect - Institut für Integrativen Tourismus und Entwicklung hat sich mit seinen Beiträgen zu einer kritischen Tourismusdiskussion über die Jahre einen guten Ruf als Fachstelle für Nachhaltigen Tourismus erworben. Das Institut wurde ursprünglich auf Initiative der OEZA im Außenministerium gegründet, der deutsche Studienkreis für Tourismus & Entwicklung und KommEnt leisteten Unterstützungs- und Aufbauarbeit. 2003 fusionierten respect und IITF (Institut für Integrativen Tourismus und Freizeitforschung) zu der heutigen Institution respect.

Im Mittelpunkt der Projektmaßnahmen 2007 steht die Information von Reisenden in Entwicklungsländer, dabei setzt respect verstärkt auf das Medium Internet und auf Medienarbeit. Die Kooperationen mit MultiplikatorInnen (Tourismuswirtschaft, NRO, etc.) werden fortgesetzt, zahlreiche Maßnahmen und Materialien der Vorjahre werden weiterhin für die Informations-, Bildungs- und Öffentlichkeitsarbeit eingesetzt. Darüber hinaus engagiert sich respect auch für die internationale Zusammenarbeit zum Thema kommerzieller, sexueller Kindesmissbrauch im Tourismus (code of conduct).

Das Projekt wird aus OEZA-Mitteln in der Höhe von Euro 65.550,- (52,60 % des Gesamtprojektvolumens, Laufzeit 1 Jahr) gefördert.

  • Type of Aid – Aid modalities: classifies transfers from the donor to the first recipient of funds such as budget support, core contributions and pooled programmes and funds to CSOs and multilateral organisations, project-type interventions, experts and other technical assistance, scholarships and student costs in donor countries, debt relief, administrative costs and other in-donor expenditures.
  • Purpose/ sector code: classifies the specific area of the recipient’s economic or social structure, funded by a bilateral contribution.
  • Tied/Untied: Untied aid is defined as loans and grants whose proceeds are fully and freely available to finance procurement from all OECD countries and substantially all developing countries. Transactions are considered tied unless the donor has, at the time of the aid offer, clearly specified a range of countries eligible for procurement which meets the tests for “untied” aid.
