Short Description:

Overall goal


Ziel des Projektes ist es, durch den Aufbau replizierbarer sozialer Unternehmen (Bäckereien, Cafés) einen Beitrag zur wirtschaftlich-sozialen Entwicklung marginalisierter Bevölkerungsgruppen in 3 afrikanischen und 2 osteuropäischen Staaten zu leisten.


Expected results


- die Gründung von Bäckerein und Cafehäusern als Soziale Unternehmen und Zugang zu innovativen und energieeffizienten Brotherstellungsmethoden;

- den Aufbau und Stärkung der Landwirtschaftssektoren und der Wertschöpfungsketten zur Brotherstellung;

- die Erlernung von unternehmerischen Fertigkeiten sowie die Schaffung neuer Einnahmequellen für NGOs;

- Strukturaufbau, der die Gründung vieler weiterer Bäckereien von finanzieller und Know-how Seite ermöglicht.


Target group / Beneficiaries


Es profitieren ca. 2.500 Personen von einer Beschäftigung und einem sicheren Einkommen. Es werden mit mind. 25 lokale Unternehmen und NGOs Partnerschaften geschlossen. Es werden Jobs für mind. 50 Personen (mind. 40% Frauen) von marginalisierte Bevölkerungsgruppen geschaffen, welche auch befähigt werden, selbst ein Sozialunternehmen zu gründen.


Activities


- Aufbau von 5 sozialen Unternehmen (1 je Zielland).

- Lieferung und Installation des nötigen Inventars (z.B. Backöfen),

- Auswahl von lokalen Produzenten für den Bezug von Rohstoffen, sowie Hilfe beim Ausbau derer Produktionskapazitäten

- Technische, sowie betriebswirtschaftliche Qualifizierung von Personal

- Etablierung von Impact Transfer: Wissensaustausch zur Optimierung des Projekteinflusses sowie zur Expansion

- Vorbereitung der Skalierung der sozialen Wirkung und Investment Readiness von weiteren Bäckereien: Diese würden von GSB gegründet werden (z.B. als Joint Venture).


Context


Bei diesem Projekt handelt es sich um eine Kooperation zwischen dem Privatsektor und der Zivilgesellschaft. Durch das Projekt werden die Interessen beider Partner in dem Projekt aufgegriffen und Synergien auf eine innovative Art und Weise genutzt.

  • Type of Aid – Aid modalities: classifies transfers from the donor to the first recipient of funds such as budget support, core contributions and pooled programmes and funds to CSOs and multilateral organisations, project-type interventions, experts and other technical assistance, scholarships and student costs in donor countries, debt relief, administrative costs and other in-donor expenditures.
  • Purpose/ sector code: classifies the specific area of the recipient’s economic or social structure, funded by a bilateral contribution.
  • Tied/Untied: Untied aid is defined as loans and grants whose proceeds are fully and freely available to finance procurement from all OECD countries and substantially all developing countries. Transactions are considered tied unless the donor has, at the time of the aid offer, clearly specified a range of countries eligible for procurement which meets the tests for “untied” aid.
