Overall goal


Projektziel ist der Aufbau einer Produktion für qualitativ hochwertigen Bio-Dünger im Kosovo für den lokalen sowie den EU-Markt und die Förderung einer biologischen und umweltschonenden Landwirtschaft.


Expected results


Das Projektziel ist erreicht, wenn…

- landwirtschaftliche Abfall- und Nebenprodukte für die Düngemittelproduktion langfristig zur Verfügung stehen;

- mind. 9.000 Tonnen aus Abfällen produzierter Bio-Dünger lokal vertrieben und nach Österreich exportiert wird;

- sich Bio-Dünger als Alternative zu mineralischem im Kosovo etabliert hat und Strukturen für Bio-Landwirtschaft angestoßen wurden;

- ein organisches Düngemittelgesetz im Kosovo eingeführt ist.


Target group / Beneficiaries


Von dem sehr breitenwirksamen Projekt werden über 1.075 kosovari-sche Farmer und insgesamt 10.395 Personen erreicht. Zudem profitiert die Umwelt: Es wird eine Alternative für mineralische Düngemittel geboten und es werden organische Abfälle gewinnbringend verwertet. Durch die Unterstützung der Biolandwirtschafts Wertschöpfungskette werden 5.000 saisonale Jobs geschaffen.


Activities


Konkret werden vier Maßnahmen gesetzt, um das Ziel zu erreichen:

- Produktionskapazitäten werden geschaffen und entsprechendes Equipment wie Trocknungsmaschinen und Mixer wird installiert.

- Partnernetzwerk zur Sicherung der Versorgung mit landwirtschaftlichem Abfall wird aufgebaut.

- Kapazitätsentwicklung und Bewusstseinsschaffung wird in Kooperation mit dem Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, and Rural Development (MoA) und dem Regional Environment Center (REC) unterstützt: Landwirte werden in der Anwendung von Düngemittel geschult und Strukturen zur Förderung von Bio-Dünger/Biolandwirtschaft im Generellen werden geschaffen.

- Vertriebsnetzwerk und Export von Bio- Dünger wird vorbereitet.


Context


Projektregion ist die Gjilan Region (Kravarica). Die Partner werden dort ein Joint Venture gründen. Begünstigte und Beteiligte finden sich in der Wertschöpfungskette in ganz Kosovo sowie in Mazedonien wieder. Eines der Schwerpunkte der Landesstrategie in Kosovo ist Wirt-schaft und Entwicklung – Fokus Ländlicher Raum. Dieses Projekt trägt direkt zur Entwicklung dieses Schwerpunktsektors bei.

  • Type of Aid – Aid modalities: classifies transfers from the donor to the first recipient of funds such as budget support, core contributions and pooled programmes and funds to CSOs and multilateral organisations, project-type interventions, experts and other technical assistance, scholarships and student costs in donor countries, debt relief, administrative costs and other in-donor expenditures.
