Overall goal


Die Wirtschaftspartnerschaft zielt auf die Schaffung von Strukturen für die Produktion und den Vertrieb von qualitativ hochwertigem Obst aus dem Kosovo.


Dem Landwirtschaftssektor wird – als Schlüsselindustrie der kosovarischen Volkswirtschaft – enormes Potential für die sozioökonomische Entwicklung des Landes zugeschrieben. Trotz idealer Rahmenbedingungen und ausgezeichneten Voraussetzungen, ist der Obstbau im Land kaum entwickelt und muss über 80% des landesweiten Obstbedarfs importiert werden. Aufgrund fehlenden Bewusstseins, mangelnden Know-hows und veralteter Technologie wird das immense Potential des Sektors bis dato kaum genutzt und für die Schaffung von zusätzlichen Arbeitsplätzen und Einkommen im ländlichen Raum fruchtbar gemacht.


Hier setzt das gegenständliche Projekt an und zielt auf den Aufbau und die Stärkung des kosovarischen Obstbaus in der Region um Gjilan.


Dazu wird (1) ein lokales Obstbau-Unternehmen gegründet, (2) eine Modellobstanlage für Produktions- und Trainingszwecke errichtet, (3) ein landwirtschaftliches Schulungs- und Beratungsprogramm etabliert, (4) ein Maschinenring aufgebaut, (5) die Kooperation mit lokalen Obstbauern durch den Aufbau eines Obstclusters strukturiert und schließlich mit (6) der Entwicklung einer Dachmarke der langfristige Vertrieb der Obstprodukte sichergestellt.


Durch diesen umfassenden Ansatz werden sowohl auf Produktions- als auch Vertriebsseite grundlegende Strukturen für einen nachhaltig erfolgreichen Obstbau im Kosovo geschaffen und dieser für ländliche Arbeitsplatz-, Einkommens- und Wertschöpfungsgenerierung langfristig nutzbar gemacht.

  • Type of Aid – Aid modalities: classifies transfers from the donor to the first recipient of funds such as budget support, core contributions and pooled programmes and funds to CSOs and multilateral organisations, project-type interventions, experts and other technical assistance, scholarships and student costs in donor countries, debt relief, administrative costs and other in-donor expenditures.
  • Purpose/ sector code: classifies the specific area of the recipient’s economic or social structure, funded by a bilateral contribution.
  • Tied/Untied: Untied aid is defined as loans and grants whose proceeds are fully and freely available to finance procurement from all OECD countries and substantially all developing countries. Transactions are considered tied unless the donor has, at the time of the aid offer, clearly specified a range of countries eligible for procurement which meets the tests for “untied” aid.
