Overall goal


MDas Oberziel des Projekts ist die Verbesserung der Gesundheitsbetreuung von Kindern mit chronischen und akuten Schmerzen und deren Reintegration in die Gesellschaft. Als Projektziel wird die Einrichtung einer Schmerzambulanz (Pain Management Unit/ PMU) für Kinder an der Pädiatrischen Klinik Sarajevo angestrebt. Die primäre Zielgruppe sind hospitalisierte zum Teil behinderte Kinder mit Schmerzen. Mindestens 400 Patienten werden jährlich in der PMU Behandlung und Unterstützung finden.


Folgende Aktivitäten sind geplant:

- die Einrichtung, Ausstattung und Organisation einer Pain Management Unit (PMU) für Patienten im Kindesalter - kostensparend und finanziell nachhaltig - in der existierenden temporären Kinderklinik Sarajevo.

- die Aus- und Weiterbildung von 120 MitarbeiterInnen des medizinischen Personals (ÄrztInnen, Pflegepersonal, MTA) in das Schmerzmanagement für Kinder durch drei Seminare.


Das Projekt reiht sich in die Aktivitäten ein, die HOPE'87 in Kooperation mit der ADA, dem International Trust Fund (ITF) sowie der Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) zum Aufbau eines umfassenden medizinischen Netzwerks zur Schmerzbekämpfung und zum Schmerzmanagement für behinderte Personen (Kriegsopfer, Minenopfer) und Schmerzpatienten seit 2006, ausgehend von der "Polyclinic for Pain Management Sarajevo", durchführt. Dies ist einerseits die Einrichtung von Satellite Pain Management Units (SPAMU) auf dem Gesamtgebiet von BiH (Föderation & RS) und andererseits die Einrichtung von Departements für Schmerzmanagement an den Universitätskliniken von Sarajevo, Tuzla, Mostar und Banja Luka.

  • Type of Aid – Aid modalities: classifies transfers from the donor to the first recipient of funds such as budget support, core contributions and pooled programmes and funds to CSOs and multilateral organisations, project-type interventions, experts and other technical assistance, scholarships and student costs in donor countries, debt relief, administrative costs and other in-donor expenditures.
  • Purpose/ sector code: classifies the specific area of the recipient’s economic or social structure, funded by a bilateral contribution.
  • Tied/Untied: Untied aid is defined as loans and grants whose proceeds are fully and freely available to finance procurement from all OECD countries and substantially all developing countries. Transactions are considered tied unless the donor has, at the time of the aid offer, clearly specified a range of countries eligible for procurement which meets the tests for “untied” aid.
