Overall goal


The severe drought throughout the Republic of Moldova during the spring and summer months 2007 caused food shortages and as a consequence the prices for agricultural products were dramatically increased. Many families cannot afford to pay these increased food prices so the menus of school canteens have decreased in nutritional value.


Hilfswerk Austria will together with the Primaria Cantemir revise existing school menus and ensure nutritious meals for 742 school children and 255 kindergarten children in rayon Cantemir throughout the school year 2007-08.
