Overall goal


Das Projekt wird von den VIDC-Abteilungen kulturen in bewegung und FairPlay durchgeführt. In Hinblick auf die Fußball-WM in Südafrika liegt 2010 der Fokus auf Afrika. Das Vorhaben ist das zentrale Projekt im Rahmen des Schwerpunktes 'Ke Nako Afrika! - Afrika jetzt!'. Ke.Nako.Afrika ist eine Verknüpfung von österreichweiten Bildungs- und Dialogveranstaltungen, kulturellen-künstlerischen Interventionen, Sportaktivitäten und Medienkooperationen. Dem VIDC kommt dabei gemeinsam mit der ADA eine koordinierende Rolle zu. Ein besonderes Augenmerk liegt auf der Mitwirkung der afrikanischen Communities in Österreich.

VIDC-kulturen in bewegung wird als Kontakt- und Koordinationsstelle der vielfältigen Initiativen fungieren und selbst Aktionen umsetzen. Mit dem Projekt werden strategische Partnerschaften, Synergien und eine nachhaltige Vernetzung der maßgeblichen Akteure angeregt und Interesse, Neugier und Offenheit für Afrika in einem globalen Kontext und für entwicklungspolitische/globale Themen hervorgerufen. Als zentrales Element von Ke.Nako.Afrika betreut VIDC in Kooperation mit regionalen Partnern rund 10 Fan-Zonen mit umfangreichem Begleitprogramm in Wien, Graz, Linz, Innsbruck, Salzburg und zusätzlich an diversen dezentralen Orten in NÖ, OÖ, Vbg und Stmk.

Das umfangreiche Leistungspaket der Servicestelle kulturen in bewegung umfasst die Koordination Ke.Nako.Afrika, Beratung, KünstlerInnen- und Kulturvermittlung, Kultur(austausch)projekte, Organisation von Fan-Zonen, Tourneen, Konzerten, Festivals und Ausstellungen; Bildungs- und Dialogveranstaltungen, Diskurse, (inter)nationale Netzwerkarbeit und Projektentwicklung. Intensive Kommunikationsarbeit (Infomaterialien wie Programmzeitung, Flyer, Plakate, Betreuung der Website und Einrichtung einer zentralen KeNako-Site, Presse- und Medienarbeit, Kultur-JournalistInnenaustausch) begleiten die Aktivitäten.


Das Projekt wird aus OEZA-Mitteln in der Höhe von Euro 380.000,- (80,58 % des Gesamtprojektvolumens) gefördert.

  • Type of Aid – Aid modalities: classifies transfers from the donor to the first recipient of funds such as budget support, core contributions and pooled programmes and funds to CSOs and multilateral organisations, project-type interventions, experts and other technical assistance, scholarships and student costs in donor countries, debt relief, administrative costs and other in-donor expenditures.
  • Purpose/ sector code: classifies the specific area of the recipient’s economic or social structure, funded by a bilateral contribution.
  • Tied/Untied: Untied aid is defined as loans and grants whose proceeds are fully and freely available to finance procurement from all OECD countries and substantially all developing countries. Transactions are considered tied unless the donor has, at the time of the aid offer, clearly specified a range of countries eligible for procurement which meets the tests for “untied” aid.
