Overall goal


Das übergeordnete Ziel ist, die Lebensgrundlage der armen, verletzlichen und marginalisierten Frauen in der Churia Region in Nepal durch soziales und wirtschaftliches Empowerment zu verbessern. Das spezifische Projektziel besteht darin, einen gerechten und ausreichenden Zugang zu natürlichen Ressourcen und Gütern zur Sicherung der Lebensgrundlage sowie die Kontrolle darüber zu steigern. Der Zugang zu grundlegenden Dienstleistungen für marginalisierte Frauen in den Distrikten Nawalparasi, Chitwan und Makwanpur soll verbessert werden und die Kapazität der vier Partnerorganisationen soll gestärkt werden, um nachhaltige sozio-ökonomische Veränderungen für diese Frauen zu fördern.


Erwartete Ergebnisse:

ER 1: Die institutionelle Kapazität der vier Partnerorganisationen ist gestärkt - Good Governance wird praktiziert, die Mobilisierung der Gemeinden unterstützt und "Policy Advocacy" betrieben.

ER 2: Erhöhte Sicherheit der Lebensgrundlage durch gesteigerten Zugang zu und Kontrolle über natürliche Ressourcen, durch Zugang zu grundlegenden Dienstleistungen und durch Möglichkeiten zur Einkommensdiversifizierung.

ER 3: "Disaster preparedness" und gesteigertes Bewusstsein gegenüber Katastrophen.

ER 4: Gesteigertes Bewusstsein gegenüber Gewalt gegen Frauen (Gender-based Violence, GBV) und Rechte auf reproduktive Gesundheit.


Die Zielgruppe besteht aus armen und marginalisierten Frauen, die in der Gegend der Churia Hills, innerhalb der drei Zieldistrikte wohnen, sowie die zivilgesellschaftlichen Organisationen (NGOs, CBOs, networks), die ihre Interessen vertreten.


Die Projektaktivitäten von CARE basieren auf der Zusammenarbeit mit lokalen Partnerorganisationen (NGOs), dem Training von "Local Resource Persons" (als Change Agents) und dem Mainstreaming von Frauenempowerment durch einen "Rights-based approach".

  • Type of Aid – Aid modalities: classifies transfers from the donor to the first recipient of funds such as budget support, core contributions and pooled programmes and funds to CSOs and multilateral organisations, project-type interventions, experts and other technical assistance, scholarships and student costs in donor countries, debt relief, administrative costs and other in-donor expenditures.

  • Tied/Untied: Untied aid is defined as loans and grants whose proceeds are fully and freely available to finance procurement from all OECD countries and substantially all developing countries. Transactions are considered tied unless the donor has, at the time of the aid offer, clearly specified a range of countries eligible for procurement which meets the tests for “untied” aid.
