Overall goal


Das dreijährige Projekt zielt auf eine nachhaltige natürliche Ressourcennutzung rund um das Südufer des Lago Managua ab, um dadurch sowohl die Lebensbedingungen von 480 lokalen Familien langfristig zu verbessern, als auch die technischen Kapazitäten auf Gemeindeebene in bezug auf Ressourcenschutz und -nutzung zu stärken.


Das Projekt umfasst folgende Projektaktivitäten:

(1) Aufforstung von 400 manzanas Hartholzwaldes, Informations- und Sensibilisierungskampagnen in bezug auf Bodenerosion, etc., Umwelterziehung in den lokalen Schulen, die sich in den Zonen I, II und III der Projektregion befinden,

(2) Landwirtschaftliche Aktivitäten: Kultivation von 120 biologischen Testparzellen, Unterstützung der Frauen in der Vermarktung von Kleintierzucht,

(3) Gründung und Begleitung eines Managementkomittees bestehend aus VertreterInnen der lokalen Bevölkerung, lokalen Politkern, StudentInnen und VertreterInnen lokaler NGOs,

(4) Erstellung eines Co-Managementplans,

(5) Implementierung eines Frühwarnsystems zu Umweltschäden für die gesamte Küstenregion des Lago Managua. Dieses Frühwarnsystem basiert auf UNO Empfehlungen zur Minimierung globaler Umweltschäden.
