Overall goal


Diese Wirtschaftspartnerschaft verfolgt das Ziel, ein Trainingszentrum für InstallateurInnen von solarthermischen Anlagen in Randburg, nahe Johannesburg, aufzubauen. Damit wird in Südafrika ein Know-how-Transfer zur verbreiteten Verwendung von hochwertigen Solaranlagen zur Warmwasseraufbereitung initiiert und auf den Mangel von qualifizierten Fachkräften reagiert.

Die Firma Solar Energy GmbH (SEG) vertreibt hochwertige Solaranlagen aus Österreich. Bei den südafrikanischen Partner handelt es sich um die Fa. Solar Energy (Pty) Ltd. und um das Watersmith Training Centre (CC), das sich auf die Installateurausbildung spezialisiert hat.

Das Trainingszentrum wird bis Mitte 2014 160 Kurse abhalten, dabei rund 1.000 TeilnehmerInnen schulen und ihnen staatlich anerkannte Zeugnisse ausstellen. Zur Zielgruppe zählen u.a. berufstätige In¬stallateurInnen, Gebäude-, Bau- und HeizungstechnikerInnen, ArchitektInnen, MitarbeiterInnen von Baumärkten und Fachgroßhändlern sowie StudentInnen.


Das Projekt umfasst die Bereitstellung von Trainingsräumen, Werkstätten, TrainerInnen und Kursmaterialien, die Durchführung der Kurse sowie Maßnahmen der Öffentlichkeitsarbeit.

Die AbsolventInnen der Trainings können die fachgerechte Installationen und Wartungen von Solaranlagen sicherstellen, was ihnen bessere Verdienstmöglichkeiten bietet. Angesichts der steigenden Strompreise profitieren breite Bevölkerungsschichten von der Verfügbarkeit von hochwertiger, sicherer und zuverlässiger Solartechnik. Am Trainingszentrum selbst wer¬den fünf neue Arbeitsplätze geschaffen.

Durch die Förderung erneuerbarer Energien leistet das Vorhaben einen bedeutenden Beitrag zum Schutz der Umwelt und der natürlichen Res¬sourcen und zur Erreichung der Millenniums-Entwicklungsziele Nr. 7 und 8 („Gewährleistung ökologischer Nachhaltigkeit“ und „Aufbau einer globalen Partnerschaft“).
