Overall goal


Das Grundanliegen des vorliegenden Pilotprojekts besteht in der Stärkung von Frauenbewegungen in Guatemala, El Salvador und Nicaragua mit dem Ziel, Strategien für ein wirksames empowerment der Frauen im Rahmen der zentralamerikanischen Integration zu erarbeiten, um die Machtverhältnisse zwischen Männern und Frauen verändern. Damit wird einem relevanten Querschnittsthema der OEZA, der Frauenförderung, Rechnung getragen.


Vor diesem Hintergrund wurden 4 lokale Ansprechpartner (Koordinationszentren) und 12 etablierte Frauenorganisationen in Guatemala, El Salvador und Nicaragua ausgewählt, die über entsprechende Erfahrung und Know-how verfügen, um für die Zukunft ein höheres Niveau der Mitbestimmung der Frauen an der gesellschaftlichen Entwicklung sowie eine verbesserte Konsensfähigkeit und engere Zusammenarbeit zwischen den Organisationen auf regionaler Ebene zu erwirken. Besondere Bedeutung wird in diesem Zusammenhang den spezifischen Bedürfnissen der indigenen und afrokaribischen Frauenorganisationen beigemessen, da diese Frauen aufgrund ihres Geschlechts, ihre ethnischen Zugehörigkeit und ihrer schwierigen wirtschaftlichen Lage in dreifacher Hinsicht diskriminiert werden.


Die Projektaktivitäten konzentrieren sich während der Pilotphase auf die Erhebung von Daten (Bestandsaufnahme), die Schaffung von Netzwerken, die Erarbeitung von Strategien (z.B. für die Einkommens- und Arbeitsbeschaffung für Frauen) und auf den regionalen Erfahrungsaustausch

  • Type of Aid – Aid modalities: classifies transfers from the donor to the first recipient of funds such as budget support, core contributions and pooled programmes and funds to CSOs and multilateral organisations, project-type interventions, experts and other technical assistance, scholarships and student costs in donor countries, debt relief, administrative costs and other in-donor expenditures.
  • Purpose/ sector code: classifies the specific area of the recipient’s economic or social structure, funded by a bilateral contribution.
  • Tied/Untied: Untied aid is defined as loans and grants whose proceeds are fully and freely available to finance procurement from all OECD countries and substantially all developing countries. Transactions are considered tied unless the donor has, at the time of the aid offer, clearly specified a range of countries eligible for procurement which meets the tests for “untied” aid.
