Das Projektziel besteht in der "Umsetzung der politischen, wirtschaftlichen, sozialen und kulturellen Rechte von Frauen sowie ihrer gleichberechtigten gesellschaftlichen Partizipation in Guatemala, El Salvador, Nicaragua".


Zu den relevanten lokalen Partnerorganisationen des Projektträgers Horizont3000 bei der Durchführung dieses Programms gehören Tierra Viva (Guatemala), La Colectiva Feminista para el Desarrollo Local (El Salvador) y el Centro de Estudios e Información de la Mujer Multiétnica (CEIMM - Nicaragua).


Die erwarteten Resultate lassen sich wie folgt zusammenfassen:

1) Es wurden nachhaltige Kommunikations- sowie Aus- und Fortbildungsmechanismen für die Frauenorganisationen geschaffen.

2) Es wurde politische Lobbyarbeit mit interkulturellem Schwerpunkt zu Themen wie Gendergewalt, Erhaltung der Umwelt und Verteidigung der sexuellen und reproduktiven Rechte von Frauen durchgeführt.

3) Die Frauenorganisationen auf lokaler, nationaler und regionaler Ebene sind gestärkt in Bezug auf die Wahrnehmung ihrer wirtschaftlichen Rechte und im Kampf gegen Gendergewalt.


Die direkt Begünstigten sind 7.500 Frauen, die indirekt Begünstigen 95.600 indigene, afrokaribische und mestizische Frauen in Guatemala, El Salvador und Nicaragua. In Guatemala konzentriert sich die Arbeit in vier Departamentos (Chiquimula, Izabal, Chimaltenango y Sololá), in El Salvador erstreckt sich das Projektgebiet auf 12 Departamentos (Usulatlán, San Miguel, Morazán, San Salvador, La Paz, San Vicente, La Libertad, Cuscatlán, Cabañas, Santa Ana, Sonsonate und Achuapan) und in Nicaragua auf die Karibikküste.


Zu den wichtigsten Aktivitäten des Programms gehören:

- Advocacymaßnahmen zur Propagierung der Rechte der Frauen;

- Bewusstseinsbildung;

- Leadership-Trainings;

- Förderung von Wirtschaftsinitiativen;

- Forschungsaktivitäten;

- Organisationsentwicklung zur Stärkung von Netzwerken

Es wird ein Beitrag zur Umsetzung der UNSCR 1325, CEDAW, Weltfrauenkonferenz(Peking 1995) sowie des MDG 3 geleistet.

  • Type of Aid – Aid modalities: classifies transfers from the donor to the first recipient of funds such as budget support, core contributions and pooled programmes and funds to CSOs and multilateral organisations, project-type interventions, experts and other technical assistance, scholarships and student costs in donor countries, debt relief, administrative costs and other in-donor expenditures.
  • Purpose/ sector code: classifies the specific area of the recipient’s economic or social structure, funded by a bilateral contribution.
  • Tied/Untied: Untied aid is defined as loans and grants whose proceeds are fully and freely available to finance procurement from all OECD countries and substantially all developing countries. Transactions are considered tied unless the donor has, at the time of the aid offer, clearly specified a range of countries eligible for procurement which meets the tests for “untied” aid.
