Overall goal


Ziel des Projekts ist es, zur Entwicklung und Einführung von effektiven Food Security Politikstrategien und Programmen in Malawi, Sambia und Burundi beizutragen und die Stimmen der meistbetroffenen Menschen sowohl auf regionaler, nationaler als auch auf internationaler Ebene zu repräsentieren. Dazu werden lokale und nationale zivilgesellschaftliche Organisationen bei der Einführung und Entwicklung von Programmen und bei der Weitergabe von Information und technischem Know-how von globaler Ebene auf lokale Ebene und umgekehrt unterstützt und gestärkt.


Die Zielgruppe besteht aus relevanten lokalen zivilgesellschaftlichen Akteuren. Die indirekt Begünstigten sind in Burundi 1,2 Millionen, in Malawi 2,7 Millionen und in Sambia 8,1 Millionen Menschen, die an chronischer Nahrungsmittelknappheit leiden.


Erwartete Resultate sind:

- Die Netzwerke relevanter zivilgesellschaftlicher Organisationen auf nationaler Ebene sind in allen drei Ländern gestärkt und mobilisiert.

- Die Analysekapazitäten der zivilgesellschaftlichen Organisationen betreffend Nahrungsmittelsicherheit sind verbessert.

- Die zivilgesellschaftlichen Organisationen haben erhöhte Kapazitäten für Advocacy und Dialog mit den nationalen Regierungen.

- Die zivilgesellschaftlichen Organisationen haben ein besseres Bewusstsein und verbesserte Kapazitäten, um Advocacy zu Nahrungsmittelsicherheit auf nationaler, regionaler und globaler Ebene zu betreiben.

Langfristig sollen durch die Aktivitäten lokale und globale "Food Security" Strategien durch verstärkten und verbesserten Dialog zwischen Regierungen und Gebern mit der Zivilgesellschaft entwickelt bzw. verbessert werden.

  • Type of Aid – Aid modalities: classifies transfers from the donor to the first recipient of funds such as budget support, core contributions and pooled programmes and funds to CSOs and multilateral organisations, project-type interventions, experts and other technical assistance, scholarships and student costs in donor countries, debt relief, administrative costs and other in-donor expenditures.
  • Purpose/ sector code: classifies the specific area of the recipient’s economic or social structure, funded by a bilateral contribution.
  • Tied/Untied: Untied aid is defined as loans and grants whose proceeds are fully and freely available to finance procurement from all OECD countries and substantially all developing countries. Transactions are considered tied unless the donor has, at the time of the aid offer, clearly specified a range of countries eligible for procurement which meets the tests for “untied” aid.
