Overall goal


Das Südfilmfest Amstetten findet zum 21. Mal von 22.-24. Juli 2010 statt. Die Zielgruppe umfasst eine cineastisch aber auch entwicklungspolitisch interessierte Öffentlichkeit. Dabei sollen verstärkt Jugendliche, MigrantInnen und MultiplikatorInnen aus Erwachsenenbildung, Schulen, NGOs, Gewerkschaften und Kirchen angesprochen werden.

Hauptanliegen des Südfilmfestes ist, mit Filmen von hoher cineastischer Qualität möglichst viele Menschen in der Region Mostviertel/ Amstetten auf entwicklungspolitische Themen aufmerksam zu machen. Es werden aktuelle Filme aus Afrika, Asien und Lateinamerika programmiert. An drei Veranstaltungstagen sind am Hauptplatz Amstetten 5 Filmvorführungen und ein Begleitprogramm mit Filmgesprächen, einer Ausstellung, musikalischen und kulinarischen Beiträgen und einem Abschlussfest mit dem Titel "Verschiedene Herkunft, gemeinsame Zukunft" geplant. Diese Aktivitäten bieten vielfältige Möglichkeiten für Begegnungen der BewohnerInnen im Mostviertel mit dort lebenden MigrantInnen sowie mit angereisten Gästen. Kooperationspartner des Südfilmfests sind das Internationale Filmfestival Innsbruck und Trigonfilm Schweiz.


Das Projekt wird bei einem Gesamtprojektvolumen von EUR 11.150,- in der Höhe von EUR 5000,- (44,84%) gefördert.

  • Tied/Untied: Untied aid is defined as loans and grants whose proceeds are fully and freely available to finance procurement from all OECD countries and substantially all developing countries.
