Short Description:

Overall goal


Mit dem Programm thematisiert WIDE die Bedeutung der Umsetzung von Frauenrechten im Kontext von nachhaltiger Entwicklung weltweit. Ziel ist es, die Gender-Kompetenz von MitarbeiterInnen in entwicklungspolitischen und humanitären Organisationen zu stärken. Durch Vernetzung mit internationalen Frauen und Gender-Netzwerken wird Gender-Expertise nach Österreich geholt und Synergien geschaffen. Mit Bildungsarbeit und durch Kooperationen und politischen Dialog wird zu einer Weichenstellung zugunsten Geschlechtergleichstellung im Rahmen der Sustainable Goals beigetragen.


Expected results


Durch die vielfältigen Maßnahmen werden zumindest 780 Personen erreicht. Die Ergebnisbereiche sind:

1. Erhöhte Gender-Kompetenz mit Multiplikations-Effekt: insbesondere für WIDE Mitglieder und MitarbeiterInnen in Organisationen der EZA und humanitären Hilfe;

2. WIDE wirkt als Informationsdrehscheibe zu Gender & Development: Schaffung und Nutzung von Synergien durch österreichweite und europäische/internationale Vernetzung;

3. Bildungs- und Öffentlichkeitsarbeit: Sensibilisierung von bisher nicht mit Entwicklungspolitik befassten Personen und Vertiefung des Wissens zu Gender und nachhaltige Entwicklung bereits Interessierter;

4. Advocacy und Politikdialog: Einbindung der von WIDE eingebrachten umsetzungsorientierten Vorschläge zu Frauenrechten für nachhaltige Entwicklung in größeren Foren, Stellungnahmen sowie Unterstützung frauenpolitisch relevanter SDGs durch politische EntscheidungsträgerInnen und weitere StakeholderInnen.

 


Target group / Beneficiaries


Ziel- und Dialoggruppen sind MitarbeiterInnen entwicklungspolitische und humanitärer Organisationen, an Entwicklungspolitik oder feministischen Inhalten interessierte Personen und Teilöffentlichkeiten, sowie politische EntscheidungsträgerInnen in Österreich und in der EU. Direkt werden zumindest 780 Personen erreicht. WIDE arbeitet in einer Netzwerkstruktur, die Mitglieder bringen sich aktiv ein und tragen durch die Mitarbeit in Arbeitsgruppen wesentlich zur Umsetzung der Aktivitäten bei. KooperationspartnerInnen im Rahmen des Projektes sind 19 WIDE-Mitgliedsorganisationen, die AG Globale Verantwortung und das europäische WIDE+ Netzwerk sowie die Volkshochschule Ottakring.


Activities


Die Aktivitäten umfassen regelmäßige Netzwerktreffen (5x jährlich), 5 Gender-Trainings, Veröffentlichung von Briefing Updates (4 x jährlich), 5 Veranstaltungen „WIDE im Diskurs“, Semesterkurs 9 Einheiten zu „Basiswissen internationale Frauenrechte“ in einer Volkshochschule und mit weiteren Kooperationspartnern und Maßnahmen zur Öffentlichkeitsarbeit wie Pressearbeit, Aktionen im öffentlichen Raum, Webbetreuung und Social Media.

Das Projekt wird bei einem Gesamtprojektvolumen von Euro 240.000,- in der Höhe von Euro 180.000.- (83,33 %) gefördert.

  • Tied/Untied: Untied aid is defined as loans and grants whose proceeds are fully and freely available to finance procurement from all OECD countries and substantially all developing countries. Transactions are considered tied unless the donor has, at the time of the aid offer, clearly specified a range of countries eligible for procurement which meets the tests for “untied” aid.
