Overall goal


Die FH JOANNEUM ist im Bereich der angewandten Forschung und Entwicklung als innovativer Partner von Unternehmen und Institutionen anerkannt. Seit drei Jahren beschäftigt sich der Studienlehrgang Internettechnik und -management der Fachhochschule Joanneum in Kapfenberg mit den Möglichkeiten des Internets und der neuen Medien im Rahmen lokaler Entwicklungsprojekte, die von Jugendinitiativen und Jugendgruppen organisiert und durchgeführt werden.

Vom 28. Mai bis 4. Juni 2006 werden Entwicklungsprojekte von Jugendinitiativen in 17 Ländern der Erde gleichzeitig miteinander im Internet vernetzt und durch eine eigens entwickelte Website www.globalvillageproject.net durch das Mission Control Center in der Fachhochschule Joanneum koordiniert.


Ziel ist es, den Jugendlichen aus 17 Ländern eine Plattform für ihre Entwicklungsprojekte zu bieten, damit sie diese lokal, regional und international präsentieren können. Ein Kooperationsnetzwerk verschiedener Organisationen, beispielsweise Institute der Universität Graz oder das Welthaus der Diözese Graz unterstützen dieses Konzept.


Das Global Village Projekt ermöglicht Jugendlichen aus der ganzen Welt sich virtuell an einem Ort zu versammeln, um ihre wichtigen jugendpolitischen Ziele zu diskutieren und über nachhaltige Entwicklung zu diskutieren.


Es wird um eine Förderung aus OEZA Mitteln in der Höhe von Euro 10.000,00 (10,93 % des Gesamtprojektvolumens) angesucht.

  • Type of Aid – Aid modalities: classifies transfers from the donor to the first recipient of funds such as budget support, core contributions and pooled programmes and funds to CSOs and multilateral organisations, project-type interventions, experts and other technical assistance, scholarships and student costs in donor countries, debt relief, administrative costs and other in-donor expenditures.
  • Purpose/ sector code: classifies the specific area of the recipient’s economic or social structure, funded by a bilateral contribution.
  • Tied/Untied: Untied aid is defined as loans and grants whose proceeds are fully and freely available to finance procurement from all OECD countries and substantially all developing countries. Transactions are considered tied unless the donor has, at the time of the aid offer, clearly specified a range of countries eligible for procurement which meets the tests for “untied” aid.
