l Als Antwort auf einen Bericht von VN-GS Kofi Annan über die Prävention in bewaffneten Konflikten von Juni 2001 wurde das Forum 'Global Partnership on the Prevention of Armed Conflict' unter der Federführung von ECCP gegründet. Dieses hat ein dreijähriges Programm unter dem Titel 'The Role of Civil Society in the Prevention of Armed Conflict' entwickelt.Oberstes Ziel des Projektes ist es die Bedeutung von Zivilgesellschaft und NGOs in der Konfliktprävention und Friedenssicherung zu untersuchen und zu stärken. Weiters soll die Interaktion zwischen regionalen Organisationen der zivilen Gesellschaft, Regierungen und der VN verbessert und gefördert werden. Die Vernetzung zwischen Akteuren im Bereich der Friedenssicherung auf regionaler und internationaler Ebene ist ein weiteres Projektziel.Das Programm sieht eine Serie parallel verlaufender regionaler und nationaler Konsultationen vor, die sich von der Basis bis zur Regierungsebene erstrecken und in 15 Regionen der Welt stattfinden sollen. Vorbereitungsworkshops und Konferenzen zur Mobilisierung und Strategiefindung sollen 2005 zur globalen Konferenz über die Rolle der zivilen Gesellschaft in der Prävention bewaffneter Konflikte führen. Deren Ziel ist die Verabschiedung eines konkreten Aktionsplanes.Die ADA unterstützt mit einem Beitrag von ¿ 180.000,- folgende Bereiche des Programmes 2004 und 2005:-Beitrag zu 'The People Building Peace II Publication', eine Zusammenfassung der neuesten Trends und Entwicklungen im Bereich Friedenssicherung und Rolle der Zivilgesellschaft. Das Buch soll bei der Abschlusskonferenz 2005 präsentiert werden.- Beitrag zur Erstellung einer Website und der regelmäßig erscheinenden News Bulletins.

    • Others - various other donors are listed in ADA’s annual business report.
  • Type of Aid – Aid modalities: classifies transfers from the donor to the first recipient of funds such as budget support, core contributions and pooled programmes and funds to CSOs and multilateral organisations, project-type interventions, experts and other technical assistance, scholarships and student costs in donor countries, debt relief, administrative costs and other in-donor expenditures.
  • Purpose/ sector code: classifies the specific area of the recipient’s economic or social structure, funded by a bilateral contribution.
  • Tied/Untied: Untied aid is defined as loans and grants whose proceeds are fully and freely available to finance procurement from all OECD countries and substantially all developing countries. Transactions are considered tied unless the donor has, at the time of the aid offer, clearly specified a range of countries eligible for procurement which meets the tests for “untied” aid.
