Overall goal


Das internationale Filmfestival ‚this human world‘ findet 2015 rund um den 10. Dezember (Tag der Menschenrechte) zum 8. Mal statt.


Expected results


An 10 Festivaltagen werden in 5 verschiedenen Wiener Kinos rund 90 Spiel-, Dokumentar- und Kurzfilme (ca. 150 Einzelveranstaltungen) rund um das Thema Menschenrechte präsentiert.

Das Festival erreicht rund 14.000 BesucherInnen. Umfangreiche Medienkooperationen sorgen für eine hohe mediale Aufmerksamkeit des Festivals und seiner Themen.


Target group / Beneficiaries


Durch Kooperationen mit ExpertInnen aus Wissenschaft, Wirtschaft, Bildung, Kunst und Kultur versteht sich das Festival auch als Impulsgeber für eine Diskussion über die soziale und politische Situation von Menschen weltweit. Zielgruppen sind am Thema Menschenrechte und Globalisierung interessierte Personen, insbesondere Personen aus Bildungsinstitutionen und NGOs, SchülerInnen, LehrerInnen, StudentInnen, PolitikerInnen, die (entwicklungs-)politisch interessierte Öffentlichkeit sowie ein kino- und kulturinteressiertes Publikum.

 


Activities


In rund 150 Veranstaltungen werden die Filme von Panels, Publikumsdiskussionen mit Filmschaffenden/ ExpertInnen/ Betroffenen, Vorträgen, Lesungen, musikalischen Performances sowie Ausstellungen begleitet. Im Rahmen eines bundesweiten Kurzfilmwettbewerbs haben SchülerInnen die Möglichkeit ihre Sicht zu Menschenrechtsproblematiken zu präsentieren. Die besten Filme werden im Verlauf des Festivals gezeigt und von einer Jury prämiert.
