Das Projekt ist die 2. Phase eines Ausbildungsprogramms für Frauen in ländlichen Gegenden Ostbhutans in der Weberei. Die erste Projektphase 2002-2004 war äusserst erfolgreich und trug massgeblich zur Schaffung von Einkommensmöglichkeiten für Frauen in der Privatwirtschaft und in der Heimarbeit bei. Die Wichtigkeit des Projekts für die Region, die Erhaltung/ Ausbildung in der Kunst der alten Webtechniken und die Einkommen der Frauen (die verkauften Webprodukte sind oft die einzigen Einnahmequellen), hat eine weitere Phase begründet. Das Projekt ist das einzige Ausbildungsprogramm für erwachsene Frauen (auch ohne Grundschulausbildung) in ländlichen Regionen. Die Kurse bieten gleichzeitig auch "basic education". Zusätzlich werden durch den Wiederverkauf der Webprodukte Schritte zur Verselbststaendigung des Trainingsinstituts in der Zukunft, gesetzt.
