Overall goal


Mit dem Ziel die nachhaltige wirtschaftliche und soziale Entwicklung der Entwicklungsländer unter besonderer Berücksichtigung des Erhalts der Unwelt und des Schutzes natürlicher Ressourcen zu fördern, beteiligt sich die ADA thematisch an dem Prozess der ISO-Zertifizierung von Social Responsibility, der bis Ende 2008 abgeschlossen sein soll. Ein ISO Standard für SR wird für Entwicklungsländer wesentliche Auswirkungen haben und dazu beirtragen, die lokale soziale, ökologische und ökonomische Situation zu verbessern.


Österreich hält gemeinsam mit Indien und Costa Rica (das als Sekretariat fungiert) den Vorsitz in der Task Group 6 (Implementation and Communication) innerhalb der ISO Working Group on Social Responsibility. Da üblicherweise ein bereits entwickeltes und ein Entwicklungsland gemeinsam agieren, wobei ersteres die Finanzierung der Teilnahme des Entwicklungslandes übernimmt, entschloss sich die ADA dazu, die Förderung der Teilnahme der indischen Ko-Vorsitz Führenden an dem ISO-Prozess zu unterstützen. Damit soll sichergestellt werden, dass auch eine adäquate Representanz der Entwicklungsländer in dem Prozess erfolgt.


Die Working Group on Social Responsibility der ISO trifft sich mehrmals jährlich an unterschiedlichen Orten um die Entwicklung dieses zukünftig weltweit geltenden ISO Standards voranzutreiben. Dies erfordert einen sehr hohen Reise- und Zeitaufwand. Die beantragte Förderung soll dazu dienen, durch die Übernahme der diversen Reisekosten von Frau Dr. Lakshmi, die die Vertreterin Indiens in diesem Prozess ist und von einer auf Spendenbasis finanzierten NGO kommt, zu ermöglichen.

  • Type of Aid – Aid modalities: classifies transfers from the donor to the first recipient of funds such as budget support, core contributions and pooled programmes and funds to CSOs and multilateral organisations, project-type interventions, experts and other technical assistance, scholarships and student costs in donor countries, debt relief, administrative costs and other in-donor expenditures.
  • Purpose/ sector code: classifies the specific area of the recipient’s economic or social structure, funded by a bilateral contribution.
  • Tied/Untied: Untied aid is defined as loans and grants whose proceeds are fully and freely available to finance procurement from all OECD countries and substantially all developing countries. Transactions are considered tied unless the donor has, at the time of the aid offer, clearly specified a range of countries eligible for procurement which meets the tests for “untied” aid.
