Yabonga betreibt 9 HIV/Aids Support Zentren in den Armenvierteln in und um Kapstadt/Western Cape (Kraaifontein, Khayelitsha, Langa, Crossroads, Hout Bay, Mfuleni, Nyanga). Es werden 70 so genannte weibliche "Peer Educator" auf Werkvertragsbasis beschäftigt, die anderen Menschen ein umfassendes Supportprogramm anbieten. Die Supportzentren bestehen aus 12m Containern, die auf dem Gelände von den Gesundheits-Kliniken aufgestellt sind und direkt den Patienten zur Verfügung stehen.

Das ggst. Vorhaben hat zum Ziel, den HIV betroffenen Kinder und Waisen den Schulbesuch zu ermöglichen oder zu erleichtern und sie in ihren psychologischen und armutsbedingten Schwierigkeiten zu unterstützen. Das Kinderprojekt soll im ersten Jahr 200 Kindern, im zweiten Jahr 300 Kindern eine verbesserte Chance in der schulischen Laufbahn geben, indem Yabonga ihnen bei den Schulkosten und -inhalten hilft. Außerdem wird den Kindern in Supportgruppen und anderen Freizeitaktivitäten wie Fußball, Musiktherapie oder Tanzen ein heilendes Umfeld gegeben, in welchem HIV Fragen beantwortet werden und auch Familientragödien, wie der Verlust eines Elternteiles, erarbeitet werden können. Es wird den Kindern in Meditationskursen (Qi Gong) die Möglichkeit gegeben, den Alltagsstress abbauen zu lernen.
