Short Description:

Overall goal


Ziel der Unternehmenspartnerschaft ist die Verbesserung von Energieeffizienzdienstleistungen in Südafrika durch den Ausbau lokaler unternehmerischer und wissenschaftlicher Kapazitäten.


Maßnahme: Das Vorhaben umfasst zwei Komponenten, die sich gegenseitig ergänzen.


Erste Komponente:

-Institutionalisierung der Unternehmens-kooperation zwischen SAM und VATH (B2B Komponente).

-Neben gemeinsamen Kundenauftritten sind gemeinsame site visits in Kraftwerken geplant.

-Es werden gemeinsame Angebote auf Aus-schreibungen erstellt, mit dem Ziel, bis Projektende zu einem umfangreichen Auftrag im Bereich der Energieeffizienz zu kommen.

-Am Anfang wird ein Trainingsprogramm ent-wickelt und entsprechendes Material erarbeitet. Dieses steht SAM langfristig zur eigenen Mitarbeiteraus- und -fortbildung zur Verfügung.

-Die Zusammenarbeit wird formalisiert in einer gemeinsam getragenen Vereinbarung.


Zweite Komponente:

-Aufbau einer Kompetenzplattform zum Thema "Energieeffizienz" (Kooperationspartner: University of Cape Town (UCT) und Cape Peninsular University of Technology (CPUT))

-Durchführung eines gemeinsamen Workshops unter Teilnahme beider Universitäten sowie ESKOM und VATH.

-Beteiligung mit einem Fachbeitrag am African Hydro Symposium 2008

-Angebot eines Job Placements für interessierte StudentInnen

-Vermittlung von Praktikumsplätzen

-Entwicklung einer netzwerkartigen Struktur der Energie-Effizienz Plattform mit Ansprechpartnern in jeder beteiligten Organisation

    • Others - various other donors are listed in ADA’s annual business report.
  • Type of Aid – Aid modalities: classifies transfers from the donor to the first recipient of funds such as budget support, core contributions and pooled programmes and funds to CSOs and multilateral organisations, project-type interventions, experts and other technical assistance, scholarships and student costs in donor countries, debt relief, administrative costs and other in-donor expenditures.
  • Purpose/ sector code: classifies the specific area of the recipient’s economic or social structure, funded by a bilateral contribution.
  • Tied/Untied: Untied aid is defined as loans and grants whose proceeds are fully and freely available to finance procurement from all OECD countries and substantially all developing countries. Transactions are considered tied unless the donor has, at the time of the aid offer, clearly specified a range of countries eligible for procurement which meets the tests for “untied” aid.
