Overall goal


Der entwicklungspolitische Verein des ÖGB "weltumspannend arbeiten" führt seit 1996 Bildungs- und Öffentlichkeitsarbeit im gewerkschaftlichen Umfeld und in Betrieben durch.

Das Projekt stellt eine Fortführung des Arbeitsschwerpunktes zu China dar. Die differenzierte Auseinandersetzung mit globalen Zusammenhängen und deren Auswirkungen auf die Wirtschafts- und Arbeitswelt am Beispiel von China und seiner neuen Rolle in der Welt (als Produzent, Kapitalgeber und Investor auf allen Kontinenten) wird fortgesetzt. Konkrete Beispiele aus Österreich (Auswirkungen auf die heimische Wirtschaft), aber auch die wachsende Präsenz Chinas in Afrika (Ressourcensicherung; wirtschaftliche/technische Kooperation) werden aufgegriffen. Rahmenbedingungen für EZA werden in einem globalen Kontext beleuchtet. Dialog, Begegnung, Erfahrungsaustausch und Kooperation von ArbeitnehmerInnen/zivilgesellschaftlichen Akteuren zwischen China und Österreich werden gestärkt. Das Wissen über die Lebenswirklichkeiten in China mit all seinen Facetten wird vertieft. Handlungsfelder und Aktionsmöglichkeiten werden aufgezeigt.

Primäre Zielgruppe des Projektes sind BetriebsrätInnen und ArbeitnehmerInnen, vor allem aus Konzernen mit Sitz in Österreich, die einen Chinabezug haben. Aber auch GewerkschaftsfunktionärInnen, Gewerkschaftsmitglieder sowie KonsumentInnen und eine interessierte Öffentlichkeit.


Das Projekt wird aus OEZA-Mitteln in der Höhe von Euro 30.000 ,- (59,34% des Gesamtprojektvolumens) gefördert. Laufzeit des Projektes: 1 Jahr

  • Type of Aid – Aid modalities: classifies transfers from the donor to the first recipient of funds such as budget support, core contributions and pooled programmes and funds to CSOs and multilateral organisations, project-type interventions, experts and other technical assistance, scholarships and student costs in donor countries, debt relief, administrative costs and other in-donor expenditures.
  • Purpose/ sector code: classifies the specific area of the recipient’s economic or social structure, funded by a bilateral contribution.
  • Tied/Untied: Untied aid is defined as loans and grants whose proceeds are fully and freely available to finance procurement from all OECD countries and substantially all developing countries. Transactions are considered tied unless the donor has, at the time of the aid offer, clearly specified a range of countries eligible for procurement which meets the tests for “untied” aid.
