Overall goal


Das Projekt wird getragen von der Allianz für Klimagerechtigkeit, unter der Koordination von Klimabündnis Österreich und spezifischer Unterstützung von CARE und WWF.

Im Internationalen Jahr des Waldes wird in Österreich eine halbtägige Veranstaltung zum Thema Waldschutz/Klimaschutz abgehalten. Dabei werden der fortschreitende globale Waldverlust, Gründe für die Entwaldung, der Verlust von Biodiversität, globale Waldschutzabkommen/REED+, good-practice-Projekte im In- und Ausland, österreichische Waldpolitik, Problematik des Lebensstils und insbesondere auch der Zusammenhang von Waldschutz und Armutsbekämpfung in Entwicklungsländern diskutiert werden. Politische EntscheidungsträgerInnern, MeinungsbildnerInnen und VertreterInnen der Zivilgesellschaft sollen erreicht werden, um einen ganzheitlichen Dialog und eine verbesserte Grundlage für die inhaltliche Position der Österreich-Delegation herzustellen. Die Projektaktivitäten umfassen eine Nachmittagsveranstaltung in Wien für 50-80 Personen sowie Medienarbeit.


Das Projekt wird aus OEZA-Mitteln in der Höhe von Euro 6.000,- (49,85% des Gesamtprojektvolumens) gefördert.

  • Type of Aid – Aid modalities: classifies transfers from the donor to the first recipient of funds such as budget support, core contributions and pooled programmes and funds to CSOs and multilateral organisations, project-type interventions, experts and other technical assistance, scholarships and student costs in donor countries, debt relief, administrative costs and other in-donor expenditures.
  • Purpose/ sector code: classifies the specific area of the recipient’s economic or social structure, funded by a bilateral contribution.
  • Tied/Untied: Untied aid is defined as loans and grants whose proceeds are fully and freely available to finance procurement from all OECD countries and substantially all developing countries. Transactions are considered tied unless the donor has, at the time of the aid offer, clearly specified a range of countries eligible for procurement which meets the tests for “untied” aid.
