Overall goal


Mit dem Programm 2012-2014 werden Kernaufgaben von weltumspannend arbeiten, dem entwicklungspolitischen Verein des ÖGB, weiterentwickelt fortgeführt. Zentrales Anliegen ist, die hinter der Globalisierung der Arbeit stehenden Zusammenhänge, Interessenslagen und deren Auswirkungen zu beleuchten und im gewerkschaftlichen Umfeld aber auch für KonsumentInnen aufzuzeigen.

Das Projekt thematisiert Gründe und Auswirkungen von globalen Wanderbewegungen, Arbeits-, Lebens- und Familiensituationen werden aufgezeigt. Ein Fokus liegt auf Ursachen der verstärkten Migration aus afrikanischen Ländern (am Bsp. der Produktion von Billiggemüse in Südspanien). Außerdem werden politische und soziale Entwicklungen in China und Afrika im Rahmen der Konzern- und Länderarbeit beleuchtet. Der Austausch von Erfahrungen wird ermöglicht, über konkrete Handlungsfelder informiert und Raum für Kooperationen und Aktionen solidarischen Handelns eröffnet. Die Aktivitäten umfassen: Bildungsmaßnahmen wie Konferenzen, Symposien, vertiefende Analysen, Fallstudien und Dokumentationen; vertiefende Auseinandersetzung findet mittels Factfinding-Reisen (China in Afrika) und Begegnungsreisen (China) statt. (Inter)nationale Netzwerke (MultiplikatorInnen, AktivistInnen) werden ausgebaut, Publikationen und Bildungsmaterialien (inkl. animierter Film + Fotoausstellung) erstellt sowie mittels Öffentlichkeitsarbeit breitenwirksam informiert. Primäre Zielgruppe sind BetriebsrätInnen und ArbeitnehmerInnen, Gewerkschaftsmitglieder u. -funktionärInnen sowie zivilgesellschaftliche AkteurInnen und KonsumentInnen.


Das Projekt wird aus OEZA-Mitteln in der Höhe von Euro 180.000,- (78,26% des Gesamtprojektvolumens) gefördert. Laufzeit des Projektes: 30 Monate
