Overall goal


Das Ziel des Projektes (2192-00/2003 und 2102-01/2003) ist die Verbesserung der Lebensbedingungen hinsichtlich Wasserversorgung und Hygiene für die ländliche Bevölkerung in zwei Provinzen in Ruanda (Gikongoro und zweitrangig Kibuye). Es soll der entsprechende Rahmen geschaffen werden, um den Zugang zu finanziellen und technischen Resourcen zu ermöglichen, Wasser- und Hygieneprojekte zu konzipieren und zu realisieren.Der Zugang zu finanziellen Resourcen und technischem Know-how wird mittels des Wasserfonds sichergestellt. Außerdem garantiert er die Einbeziehung der lokalen Ebenen, die selbständig Projektideen zur Finanzierung einreichen können. Der erste Teil des Projekts (2192-00/2003) stellt die technische Unterstützung und Durchführung des Wasserfonds sicher.Dieser Teil des Projekts stellt die Mittel für den Wassrfonds zur Verfügung. Im Rahmen des Wasserfonds werden Projekte von lokale Communities eingereicht und ,wenn sie dem technischen Leitfaden entsprechen und Verbesserungen in den Bereichen Wasserversorgung und Hygiene für die lokale Bevölkerung bringen, von diesem finanziert.

  • Type of Aid – Aid modalities: classifies transfers from the donor to the first recipient of funds such as budget support, core contributions and pooled programmes and funds to CSOs and multilateral organisations, project-type interventions, experts and other technical assistance, scholarships and student costs in donor countries, debt relief, administrative costs and other in-donor expenditures.

  • Tied/Untied: Untied aid is defined as loans and grants whose proceeds are fully and freely available to finance procurement from all OECD countries and substantially all developing countries. Transactions are considered tied unless the donor has, at the time of the aid offer, clearly specified a range of countries eligible for procurement which meets the tests for “untied” aid.
