Overall goal


Der EcoSan Club entwickelt und fördert kreislauforientierte Konzepte in der Siedlungshygiene, um einen Beitrag zum Schutz der Umwelt zu leisten. In Kooperation mit der "German Toilet Organization" (GTO) plant EcoSan für 2007 die Aufklärungskampagne "Water is Life, Sanitation is Dignity" zum Thema Fäkal- und Abwasserentsorgung. Das Projekt will Bewusstsein für die globale Problematik in der Siedlungshygiene schaffen, praktikable Alternativen aufzeigen und zu Engagement bzw. Verhaltensänderung motivieren.


"Where would you hide? Wo würden Sie sich verstecken?" - 35 lebensgroße Figuren einer im Universitätscampus Wien geplanten Ausstellung "Toilette bedeutet Würde" sind zentrales Element der Aktivitäten rund um das Thema Toiletten und der Tatsache, dass 2.6 Milliarden Menschen keinen Zugang zu ausreichender Sanitätsversorgung haben.

Ein umfangreiches Begleitprogramm zur Ausstellung ist geplant: Eröffnungs- und Diskussionsveranstaltungen, Infomaterialien & Infostand sowie eine Plattform für Organisationen und Firmen, die ihre Projekte und Produkte zur nachhaltigen Siedlungshygiene präsentieren können. Bei Publikumsaktionen wie Fotowettbewerb, Ideenwettbewerb zur Gestaltung leerer Installationskartons und Präsentation von Good-Practice können die BesucherInnen selbst aktiv werden. Eine intensive Medien- und Öffentlichkeitsarbeit soll die Erreichung der Zielgruppen garantieren (Pressearbeit, Online-Veranstaltungskalender, Newsletter, Kampagnen-Website, Webbanner, Plakate und Flyer).

Vorrangig angesprochen werden die allgemein und entwicklungspolitisch interessierte Öffentlichkeit, Studierende/Jugendliche/Kinder und EntscheidungsträgerInnen.


Das Projekt wird aus OEZA-Mitteln in der Höhe von Euro 35.000,- (66 % des Gesamtprojektvolumens, Laufzeit 6 Monate) gefördert.
