Overall goal


Die Entwicklungspolitische Bildungs- und Schulstelle BAOBAB verleiht Materialien und Medien an LehrerInnen, SchülerInnen, StudentInnen sowie MultiplikatorInnen in der außerschulischen Bildung, darüber hinaus werden Beratungen zur Durchführung von Projekten und Veranstaltungen sowie Workshops zum Globalen Lernen angeboten. Ziel ist es, zu einer weltoffenen Bildungsarbeit über globale Entwicklungen anzuregen.


Im Rahmen der "Weltbilder-Medienstelle" betreut BAOBAB wichtige Anliegen im Zusammenhang mit entwicklungspolitischer Filmarbeit (Archiv, Datenbank, Verleih, Kooperationen, Produktionen, Medienkompetenz). Dieses Projekt ist ein Kooperationsprojekt mit der OEZA/ADA. Zentrale Maßnahmen für das Jahr 2007 sind u.a. das aus 2006 verschobene DVD-Projekte "Mädchen/Gender" in Zusammenarbeit mit den Medienstellen in Deutschland und der Schweiz (D-A-CH).


Eine fortgeführte Schwerpunktsetzung betrifft die seit 2005 bei Baobab im Bereich der Weltbilder Medienstelle angesiedelte Plattform "Medien & Entwicklung" (entstanden aus der AG "Mediawatch"). Ziel dieser Maßnahme ist die Beratung der ORF-Redaktionen zu Themen und Fragen der Entwicklungspolitik und Entwicklungszusammenarbeit durch laufende Kontaktpflege mit den Redaktionen und die Bereitstellung entwicklungspolitischer Fachinformationen. Als konkrete Maßnahmen dazu sind geplant: die Erstellung eines Newsletters zur Information der ORF-Redaktionen über aktuelle und zukünftige entwicklungspolitische Themenschwerpunkte; laufende Kommunikation mit ORF-RedakteurInnen und Vermittlung von Kontakten zu entwicklungspolitischen AkteurInnen.


Das Projekt wird bei einem Gesamtprojektvolumen von EUR 110.592,00 in der Höhe von

EUR 77.592,00 (70,16 % ) gefördert.

  • Type of Aid – Aid modalities: classifies transfers from the donor to the first recipient of funds such as budget support, core contributions and pooled programmes and funds to CSOs and multilateral organisations, project-type interventions, experts and other technical assistance, scholarships and student costs in donor countries, debt relief, administrative costs and other in-donor expenditures.
