Overall goal


Die Südwind Agentur ist die größte entwicklungspolitische Informations- und Bildungsorganisation in Österreich. Vor ca. 10 Jahren wurde mit der Entwicklung eines Workshopangebots für die schulische Bildungsarbeit begonnen, das die komplexen weltwirtschaftlichen Beziehungen lebensnahe und anschaulich vermittelt. 2007 werden über 300 Workshops mit Kinder, Jugendlichen und auch Erwachsenen durchgeführt. Die Workshops zeigen anhand von Produkten des täglichen Lebens wie Banane, Schokolade, Orangensaft, Jeans oder Sportschuhe den weltwirtschaftlichen Kontext von Arbeits-, Produktions- und Handelsbedingungen und thematisieren so die Facetten von Globalisierung und deren weltweite Auswirkungen. Beim Workshop "Globalisierung", "Weltsicht entwickeln" und Orient: "Einblick in einen interkulturellen Dialog" werden politische, sozioökonomische und ökologische Zusammenhänge zur Diskussion gestellt. Das inhaltliche und methodische Konzept orientiert sich an den Konzepten des Globalen Lernens. Es handelt sich um ein gut eingeführtes Projekt mit großer Nachfrage, dessen nachhaltige Qualität auch darin begründet liegt, dass unter Beibehaltung eines grundsätzlich bewährten Ansatzes laufend sowohl thematische als auch methodisch / didaktische Anpassungen an neue Erfordernisse vorgenommen werden. 2001 wurde das Programm mit dem World Aware Education Award des Europarates ausgezeichnet. Das Projekt umfasst die laufende Organisation und Durchführung der Workshops, die Projektkoordination zwischen den anbietenden Stellen sowie die Qualitätssicherung, Evaluierung und Weiterentwicklung des Angebots.

Die Workshopreihe wird über die Südwind Agentur unter Einbeziehung ihrer Regionalstellen sowie die Programme von Südwind Entwicklungspolitik Salzburg und Niederösterreich, Bündnis für eine Welt/ ÖIE Kärnten und Europahaus Burgenland bundesweit angeboten.


Das Projekt wird bei einem Gesamtprojektvolumen von Euro 71.625,00 in der Höhe von

22.000,00 (30,8 %) gefördert.

  • Type of Aid – Aid modalities: classifies transfers from the donor to the first recipient of funds such as budget support, core contributions and pooled programmes and funds to CSOs and multilateral organisations, project-type interventions, experts and other technical assistance, scholarships and student costs in donor countries, debt relief, administrative costs and other in-donor expenditures.

  • Tied/Untied: Untied aid is defined as loans and grants whose proceeds are fully and freely available to finance procurement from all OECD countries and substantially all developing countries. Transactions are considered tied unless the donor has, at the time of the aid offer, clearly specified a range of countries eligible for procurement which meets the tests for “untied” aid.
