Overall goal


Ernährungssicherheit ist eines der zentralen globalen Probleme und bleibt aufgrund steigender bzw. instabiler Nahrungsmittelpreise, zunehmender Konkurrenz um die Nutzung immer knapper werdender natürlicher Ressourcen, wachsender Weltbevölkerung etc. eine große Herausforderung für Wissenschaft und Praxis. Effektive Lösungsansätze zur Ernährungssicherung heutiger und zukünftiger Generationen sind gefragt. Verbesserte landwirtschaftliche Wertschöpfung spielt dabei eine zentrale Rolle, was aber eines komplexen sozioökonomischen, ökologischen und technischen Veränderungs- und Innovations¬prozesses bedarf.

Das vorliegende Projekt versucht neue Ansätze zur Förderung landwirtschaftlicher Wertschöpfung zu schaffen, indem vorhandene Rahmenbedingungen, Kapazitäten und Ressourcen, die sich als günstig bzw. hinderlich für solche Veränderungsprozesse analysiert und aufbereitet werden. Gleichermassen werden erfolgreiche bzw. nicht bewährte Ansätze, Methoden und Instrumente aus der praktischen Zusammen¬arbeit der OEZA beleuchtet und in Folge strategische wie praxisorientierte Lösungsansätze und Empfehlungen für die Unterstützung von notwendigen Veränderungs- und Innovationsprozessen generiert und dokumentiert. Das Projekt fördert einen gezielten Austausch und ein gemeinsames Lernen zwischen den unterschiedlichen AkteurInnen und ExpertInnen in Österreich und mit internationalen Partnern und trägt auf politischer wie praktischer Ebene zu einer optimierten Ziel- und Resultatorientierung und damit wirksamerer Entwicklungszusammenarbeit bei.
