Von KöchInnen bis zum Zimmerservice – in Südosteuropa sind qualifizierte Tourismus-Fachkräfte gefragt. Wegen der Naturschönheiten und Kulturschätze wird Bosnien und Herzegowina jährlich von Hunderttausenden Gästen besucht. Bis 2020 rechnet die World Tourism Organization in dem ex-jugoslawischen Staat mit dem weltweit drittgrößten Branchenwachstum. Gute Aussichten für ein Land, dessen Arbeitslosigkeit deutlich über dem EU-Durchschnitt liegt. Allerdings haben Arbeitssuchende im Moment geringe Chancen im Tourismus Fuß zu fassen, denn es fehlt an anerkannten Berufsausbildungen. Die Wirtschaftspartnerschaft «Active Qualification in Tourism (AquiT)» möchte das nun mit Unterstützung der Austrian Development Agency und der Oesterreichischen Entwicklungsbank ändern: Das Wiener Unternehmen BEST Institut für berufsbezogene Weiterbildung und Personaltraining GmbH baut in Zusammenarbeit mit dem bosnisch-herzegowinaschen Arbeitsamt und einer Reihe lokaler ExpertInnen ein modernes Berufsbildungssystem für touristische Fachleute auf.


120 arbeitssuchende Menschen werden bis 2015 in zukunftsweisenden Berufen ausgebildet. 24 TrainerInnen werden zertifiziert und garantieren damit die Einhaltung von Qualitätsstandards. Das neue Ausbildungssystem soll darüber hinaus überregional zur Anerkennung touristischer Berufsprofile führen und damit neue Jobchancen in einer vielversprechenden Branche schaffen.

  • Type of Aid – Aid modalities: classifies transfers from the donor to the first recipient of funds such as budget support, core contributions and pooled programmes and funds to CSOs and multilateral organisations, project-type interventions, experts and other technical assistance, scholarships and student costs in donor countries, debt relief, administrative costs and other in-donor expenditures.
  • Purpose/ sector code: classifies the specific area of the recipient’s economic or social structure, funded by a bilateral contribution.
  • Tied/Untied: Untied aid is defined as loans and grants whose proceeds are fully and freely available to finance procurement from all OECD countries and substantially all developing countries. Transactions are considered tied unless the donor has, at the time of the aid offer, clearly specified a range of countries eligible for procurement which meets the tests for “untied” aid.
