Overall goal


Ziel des Projekts ist es, den Markt in Subsahara Afrika mit einem digitalen Accelerator für Investorengruppen und Startups zu erschließen.

Kern des Vorhabens ist die Plattform key2investors. Über diese Plattform werden Start-ups beim erstmaligen Fundraising und im Bereich von Finanzplanung, Unternehmensbewertung, Vorbereitung

des Investoren-Prozesses und Zugang zu Investoren unterstützt. Investoren erhalten Zugang zu investitionsbereiten Unternehmen.


Expected results


Das Ziel ist erreicht, wenn 1) die Online-Plattform key2investors auf dem afrikanischen Kontinent etabliert wurde; 2) 60 Startups das Investor-Readiness Training (u.a. Online-Schulungen) absolvieren

haben; und 3) hierzu eine wirtschaftliche Partnerschaft mit 2-3 Investorengruppen aufgebaut wurde.


Target group / Beneficiaries


Insgesamt profitieren von dem Projekt mindestens 106 lokale Unternehmen wie Startups, Investoren und Netzwerkpartner. Darüber hinaus werden 12 Jobs geschaffen. Das Projekt wird in Namibia und Südafrika pilotiert und von dort aus in Subsahara Afrika umgesetzt.


Activities


Folgende Komponenten werden umgesetzt:

1. Aufbau eines Netzwerks an lokalen Partnern (Investoren, öffentliche Stakeholder und Start-ups).

2. Anpassung und Weiterentwicklung der bestehenden Plattform hin zu einer Pan-Afrikanischen Plattform.

3. Aufbau einer Unternehmensbewertungs-Benchmarking

Datenbank, um Startups die Verhandlungen mit Investoren zu erleichtern und Investoren eine Vergleichsbasis zu geben.

4. Skalierung ist im Gange.


Context


In der Region gibt es viele Start-ups und innovative Ideen. Allerdings haben diese kaum Zugang zu finanziellen Mittel und Investoren. Investoren hingegen haben die Schwierigkeit, Unternehmen zu identifizieren die Investor-Ready sind. Die Antragssteller wollen hier eine Brücke bauen.

  • Type of Aid – Aid modalities: classifies transfers from the donor to the first recipient of funds such as budget support, core contributions and pooled programmes and funds to CSOs and multilateral organisations, project-type interventions, experts and other technical assistance, scholarships and student costs in donor countries, debt relief, administrative costs and other in-donor expenditures.
  • Purpose/ sector code: classifies the specific area of the recipient’s economic or social structure, funded by a bilateral contribution.
  • Tied/Untied: Untied aid is defined as loans and grants whose proceeds are fully and freely available to finance procurement from all OECD countries and substantially all developing countries. Transactions are considered tied unless the donor has, at the time of the aid offer, clearly specified a range of countries eligible for procurement which meets the tests for “untied” aid.
