Overall goal


Ziel dieses Projektes ist es, die Wettbewerbsfähigkeit und Effizienz von kosovarischen Rinder- und Viehbauern und Landwirten zu steigern.


Expected results


Das Ergebnis ist die Professionalisierung der kosovarischen Rinder- und Viehzucht: (1) durch Zugang der Landwirte zu einer verbesserten Besamungsinfrastruktur; sowie (2) durch eine langfristige Kapazitäts-entwicklung in der Viehzucht bzw. -haltung.


Target group / Beneficiaries


Von dem Projekt profitieren mind. 40.000 Tierärzte, Besamungstechni-ker, Rinderbauern und Landwirte (Familien), sowie MitarbeiterInnen von Universitäten, Verbänden und vom Landwirtschaftsministerium.


Activities


Konkret fußt das Projekt auf 3 Komponenten:

1.Aufbau einer Online-Plattform zur Verbreitung von Fachwissen zur Rinder- und Viehzucht/-haltung und Landwirtschaft (Web-/Facebook-Auftritt, Schulungen, Radio, Praxisbücher etc.).

2.Technologietransfer (Besamungs-Container und Ultraschallgeräte) und Verbesserung der Besamungs-Infrastruktur.

3.Langfristige Sicherung des Know-how-Transfers durch eine Kooperation mit der Veterinärmedizinischen Fakultät der Universität Hasan Pristina, der Kosovarischen Tierärztekammer und dem Landwirtschaftsministerium sowie durch eine ToT-Komponente (Kurse für Tierärzte im Bereich Ultraschall- und Besamungstechnik sowie für Landwirte in den Bereichen Grünlandwirtschaft, Futterqualität/Fütterung, Haltung, Fruchtbarkeit, Tiergesundheit und organische Düngung).

 


Context


Die kosovarische Milch- und Fleischwirtschaft leidet unter niedriger Produktivität, hohem Importdruck, Marktvolatilität und bescheidener Besamungsinfrastruktur (u.a. hinsichtlich Samenqualität und –technik). Durch Know-how und Technologietransfer soll die Fleisch- und Milch Wertschöpfungskette als Ganzes gestärkt werden. Die Projektpartner wollen sich im Kosovo als Produkt- und Dienstleistungsanbieter in der Rinder- und Viehzucht etablieren und eine Online-Plattform aufbauen. Mittelfristig wird durch das Vorhaben die Weiterentwicklung des gesamten Fleisch- und Milch- und Pflanzenbausektors im Kosovo er-möglicht.
