Overall goal


Ziel des Projekts ist es, über die MedShr-Plattform Ärzte und medizinisches Personal in Afrika und im Mittleren Osten im Bereich Prävention, Diagnose und Management von COVID-19 weiterzubilden.


MedShr ist eine App/Web-Plattform welche peer-to-peer Lernen ermöglicht und medizinisches Wissen Ärzten sowie Personen, die im Gesundheitsberuf tätig sind, vermittelt. Das Projekt nutzt die digitale App und Plattform für Bildung durch die Aufbereitung und Diskussion von klinischen Fällen und die Bereitstellung von Materialien zur Prävention, Diagnose und Verwaltung von COVID-19 in ressourcenarmen Gegenden. Durch MdShr können kostengünstig und schnell tausende Ärzte sowie medizinisches Personal erreicht werden.


Expected results


Das Ziel ist erreicht, wenn 1) MedShr das internationale Bemühen zur Bildung von Ärzten und medizinischem Personalüber Prävention, Diagnose und Management von COVID-19 unterstützt; und 2) über die Web-Plattform 150.000 Ärzte und medizinisches Personal am afrikanischen Kontinent und im Mittleren Osten Know-how in Bezug auf COVID-19 aufgebaut haben und dieses Wissen verbreiten und teilen.


Target group / Beneficiaries


Von dem Projekt profitieren direkt 150.000 Ärzte und medizinisches Personal. Darüber hinaus sollen Millionen von Menschen von besserer Betreuung im Rahmen der COVID-19 Pandemie profitieren. Gestartet wird das Projekt in Nigeria, Äthiopien, Uganda, Irak und Jordanien.


Activities


Konkret werden folgende Maßnahmen getroffen: 1) Entwicklung und Umsetzung von COVID-19-Bildungsprogrammen; 2) Entwicklung und Umsetzung von MedShr Open CO-VID-19-Ressourcen (Aufbereitung von Guidelines, Daten und weiteren Ressourcen rund um COVID-19); 3) Technische Programmauslieferung (Start des Programmes); 4) Gezielte Kontaktaufnahme mit Ärzten, medizinischem Personal und ihren Organisationen; und 5) Messung der Wirkung


Context


Die COVID-19 Pandemie ist eine globale Herausforderung. Der Antragssteller leistet mit diesem Projekt einen Beitrag zum Umgang mit COVID-19 insbesondere in ärmeren Ländern.
