Overall goal


Ziel dieser Wirtschaftspartnerschaft ist es, mit einem attraktiven touristischen Angebot die lokale Wirtschaft zu beleben und das reiche kulturelle Erbe von La Paz einer großen Zahl an Personen zugänglich zu machen. Das österreichische Unternehmen Doppelmayr Seilbahnen GmbH und die staatliche bolivianische Seilbahnbetreibergesellschaft Mi Teleférico installieren gemeinsam entlang der sich im Bau befindlichen „Weißen“ Seilbahnlinie (Línea Blanca) einen offenen Museumsrundgang.


Expected results


Die Stadtseilbahn wird für ein innovatives offenes Ausstellungskonzept genutzt, um die beim Seilbahnbau geborgenen, teilweise über 2.500 Jahre alten archäologischen Funde am Fundort auszustellen. Bei Fertigstellung werden 18.000 Fahrgäste pro Tag (rund 6,5 Mio. Personen/ Jahr), die Línea Blanca benützen und den Museumsrundgang durchqueren. Für Besucher und für 1,3 Mio. internationale Touristen, die derzeit pro Jahr nach La Paz reisen, entsteht eine neue attraktive Sehenswürdigkeit, die den touristischen Wert der Stadt insgesamt steigert.


Target group / Beneficiaries


Zielgruppen sind die Bevölkerung von La Paz, wie Anrainer, Fahrgäste, Besucher und Schulklassen, sowie nationale und internationale Touristen. Der Museumsrundgang erstreckt sich über 100.000 m2 und umfasst 3 Seilbahnstationen, Stützen und den darunterliegenden Boulevard. 130 Geschäften, Restaurants, Straßenhändlern und lokalen Tourismusanbietern bietet das Projekt bessere Verdienstmöglich-keiten. 12 lokale Unternehmen und 70 lokale Fachleute (u.a. Archäologen, Historiker, Museographen, Architekten) setzen das Projekt um.


Activities


Die Fundstücke werden in Vitrinen innerhalb der Seilbahnstationen platziert. Dazu kommt die Erstellung audio-visueller Medien und Schautafeln, die Restaurierung von Denkmälern sowie die Ausbildung von 50 Fahrgastbetreuern von Mi Teleférico als Museumsführer.


Context


Das Projekt wird mit der fachlichen Expertise der Universidad Mayor de San Andres, der Archäologischen Gesellschaft und der Historikervereinigung von La Paz und im ständigen Dialog mit dem bolivianischen Kultur- und Tourismusministerium und der Stadtverwaltung von La Paz umgesetzt.
