Overall goal


Öko-Himal - Gesellschaft für ökologische Zusammenarbeit Alpen-Himalaya - ist eine internationale Nichtregierungsorganisation mit Sitz in Salzburg und einem Regionalbüro in Kathmandu/Nepal. Gemeinsam mit lokalen Basisinitiativen und Dorfgemeinschaften arbeitet Öko-Himal an Projekten zur Verbesserung der Lebensbedingungen der lokalen Bevölkerung in der Himalayaregion, wobei eine nachhaltige Entwicklung oberstes Prinzip in der Projektarbeit ist. In Kooperation mit Education Highway - Innovationszentrum für Schule und Neue Technologie - führt Öko-Himal das Projekt www.8goals4future.at durch. Education Highway betreut den Bildungsserver www.eduhi.at und das österreichische Schulportal www.schule.at (Kooperation mit BM:BWK).

Ursprünglich im Rahmen der Ausschreibung zu den Millennium Development Goals entwickelt, bietet die Website www.8goals4future.at vielfältiges Material zur Auseinandersetzung mit den Millennium Development Goals in der schulischen Bildungsarbeit. Mit Hilfe neuer Medien ist die Thematik für die Zielgruppe 14-19jährige SchülerInnen aufbereitet. Die Millenniumsziele werden anhand von Projekten der Entwicklungszusammenarbeit aus den Kooperations- und Schwerpunktländern der ÖEZA dargestellt. Die Weiterführung des Projekts 2006 setzt sich die Ergänzung der Website um neue Themen und zusätzliche Projektbeispiele sowie Vertiefungsmöglichkeiten für die bisherigen Themenschwerpunkte zum Ziel.


Vorrangige Zielgruppen sind LehrerInnen und SchülerInnen.

Das Projekt wird bei einem Gesamtprojektvolumen von Euro 41.850,00 in der Höhe von

Euro 18.750,00 (44,8 %) gefördert.

  • Type of Aid – Aid modalities: classifies transfers from the donor to the first recipient of funds such as budget support, core contributions and pooled programmes and funds to CSOs and multilateral organisations, project-type interventions, experts and other technical assistance, scholarships and student costs in donor countries, debt relief, administrative costs and other in-donor expenditures.
  • Purpose/ sector code: classifies the specific area of the recipient’s economic or social structure, funded by a bilateral contribution.
  • Tied/Untied: Untied aid is defined as loans and grants whose proceeds are fully and freely available to finance procurement from all OECD countries and substantially all developing countries. Transactions are considered tied unless the donor has, at the time of the aid offer, clearly specified a range of countries eligible for procurement which meets the tests for “untied” aid.
