MEDIAoffice ist ein auf die Verlags - u. Medienbranche spezialisiertes Dienstleistungsunternehmen und hat mit der Konzeption und Umsetzung von Medienkooperationen im Printbereich (Beilagen) als Maßnahme der entwicklungspolitischen Öffentlichkeitsarbeit bereits langjährige Erfahrung. Entwicklungspolitische Themen/Entwicklungen werden aufgegriffen, um sie kompakt einer breiten Öffentlichkeit zugänglich zu machen. Seit 1997 werden aus OEZA-Mitteln jährlich 1-2 Medienprojekte gefördert.


Im Vorfeld des EU-Lateinamerika-Gipfels 2006 plant MEDIAoffice - in Kooperation mit der AGEZ (Arbeitsgemeinschaft Entwicklungszusammenarbeit) und dem LAI (Lateinamerika Institut) - eine entwicklungspolitische Zeitungsbeilage im KURIER zum Thema "Lateinamerika"(Auflage: 265.000, Umfang: 6 Seiten). Die Beilage soll die Öffentlichkeit über aktuelle Themen der interkontinentalen Beziehungen zwischen EU und Lateinamerika informieren. Bei den Themen und bei der Auswahl der AutorInnen ist auf eine vielfältige Darstellung der maßgeblichen Sektoren (EZA, Wirtschaft, Wissenschaft, Zivilgesellschaft, öffentlicher Bereich) sowie auf eine gute geographische Verteilung zu achten.

Das Medienprojekt zeichnet sich besonders durch ein gut etabliertes Vertriebsmodell aus: Interessierten Schulen und entwicklungspolitischen NGOs steht ein kostenloses Sonderkontingent von 20.000 KURIER-Exemplaren sowie vertiefendes Bildungsmaterial zur Verfügung. Mittels professionellem E-mail-Marketing/Online-PR wird die Beilage als Informationsangebot für Schulen (rund 2.000 AHS, BHS, HS) und bei epol NGOs beworben und vertiefendes Material für die Bildungsarbeit in Kooperation mit BAOBAB zur Verfügung gestellt. Die Beilage erscheint auch online auf www.kurier.at, und ein Diskussions-Forum zum interaktiven Austausch mit 1-2 epol. ExpertInnen ist geplant.


Das Projekt wird aus OEZA-Mitteln in der Höhe von Euro 29.385,00 (42,96% des Gesamtprojektvolumens) gefördert.

  • Type of Aid – Aid modalities: classifies transfers from the donor to the first recipient of funds such as budget support, core contributions and pooled programmes and funds to CSOs and multilateral organisations, project-type interventions, experts and other technical assistance, scholarships and student costs in donor countries, debt relief, administrative costs and other in-donor expenditures.

  • Tied/Untied: Untied aid is defined as loans and grants whose proceeds are fully and freely available to finance procurement from all OECD countries and substantially all developing countries. Transactions are considered tied unless the donor has, at the time of the aid offer, clearly specified a range of countries eligible for procurement which meets the tests for “untied” aid.
