Overall goal


Das chronisch überlastete palästinensische Gesundheitswesen ist nicht in der Lage, Patienten mit chronischen Krankheiten ausreichend zu versorgen. Ein neu geschaffenes basismedizinisches Zentrum für chronische Krankheiten trägt zur Verbesserung der allgemeinen medizinischen Versorgung, zur Senkung der Sterberate und der Vermeidung unnötiger volkswirtschaftlicher Kosten bei. Durch systematische Präventionsmaßnahmen und Gesundheitserziehung wird eine schrittweise Umorientierung der nationalen Gesundheitspolitik in Richtung Vorsorgemedizin in Gang gesetzt werden. Das vorliegende Projekt der Union of Palestinian Medical Relief Committees ist die Weiterführung (Phase 4) des im Jahr 2000 neu gegründeten und in Phase 2 erweiterten Zentrums.Im beantragten Überbrückungsfinanzierungszeitraum der Phase 4 soll neben den präventiven und kurativen Leistungen des Zentrums eine Evaluierung der vorhergegangenen Projektphasen erfolgen. Basierend auf dieser Evaluierung wird die Unterstützung eines nationalen Plans zur Behandlung und Vorbeugung von chronischen Krankheiten in Erwägung gezogen.
