Overall goal


Zentrales Anliegen des Vorhabens ist es, in Österreich für das Thema "Immaterielles Kulturerbe" zu sensibilisieren, eine weiterführende Debatte zu initiieren und zu Engagement und Kompetenzentwicklung anzuregen. Die UNESCO-Konvention zum "Schutz des immateriellen kulturellen Erbes" spielt dabei eine zentrale Rolle, das Projekt ist damit Teil eines umfassenden Programms zum Schutz kultureller Vielfalt.


Die Österreichische UNESCO-Kommission (ÖUK) führt das Projekt in Kooperation mit VIDC/kulturen in bewegung (kibe), dem tanzquartier wien (tqw) und ORF-Hörfunk Ö1 durch. Die Kooperationspartner sind zentrale Akteure im Bereich Kultur, Entwicklungspolitik, Kunst und Medien in Österreich (mit internationalem Netzwerk).

Die vielfältigen Projektmaßnahmen sehen eine vertiefende zielgruppenorientierte Auseinandersetzung vor, die das komplexe Thema und den EZA-Bezug anschaulich machen: internationale Konferenz mit ExpertInnen aus den Bereichen Wissenschaft, Kunst, Kultur und EZA, die Aufführungen des Gelede-Maskentanzrituals (Benin) im Wiener Tanzquartier und anschließend weiteren Aufführungen in Österreich, ein Vermittlungsprogramm, Medienkooperationen und begleitende Öffentlichkeitsarbeit.


Das Projekt wird aus OEZA-Mitteln in der Höhe von EUR 15.000,- (21,96% des

Gesamtprojektvolumens) gefördert.

  • Type of Aid – Aid modalities: classifies transfers from the donor to the first recipient of funds such as budget support, core contributions and pooled programmes and funds to CSOs and multilateral organisations, project-type interventions, experts and other technical assistance, scholarships and student costs in donor countries, debt relief, administrative costs and other in-donor expenditures.
  • Purpose/ sector code: classifies the specific area of the recipient’s economic or social structure, funded by a bilateral contribution.
  • Tied/Untied: Untied aid is defined as loans and grants whose proceeds are fully and freely available to finance procurement from all OECD countries and substantially all developing countries. Transactions are considered tied unless the donor has, at the time of the aid offer, clearly specified a range of countries eligible for procurement which meets the tests for “untied” aid.
