Kurzbeschreibung:
Projektziel
In 2015 the Syrian crisis has entered its fifth consecutive year. So far more than 627.000 Syrian people have sought refuge in Jordan . Caritas Jordan is one of the most pre-eminent local NGOs in the country, working with refugees since 2002 and taking a lead position in the Syrian response in Jordan. The project targets 1.000 HHs in Amman, Irbid, Zarqa and Madaba – 70% Syrian refugees, 30% vulnerable Jordanian host communities – with tailored cash-assistance and protection services, according to UNHC standards. A total of 1.000 HHs receive one-time emergency cash-assistance of ~83€ to cover individual urgent needs (e.g, food, NFIs, health, etc.). A quarter of these HHs receive additionally ~192€ cash-assistance to pay for rent/utilities for a period of 3 months. All HHs targeted by CJ go through protection screening and members of 500 HHs, benefit from tailored protection and legal counselling sessions. CJ coordinates project activities with relevant stakeholders on governmental level (ministries, Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization), on UN level (e.g. Working Group on Basic Needs) and with other international NGOs (bilateral level). Overall project volume is EUR 321.800,- for 6 months, whereas 70% are directly disbursed towards beneficiaries as cash-assistance. Thereof, ADC assistance amounts to EUR 250.000,-.
