Dagachhu HPP - Support for Preparation of Tender Documents

In 2004, the Royal Government of Bhutan and the Republic of Austria agreed to undertake the Dagachhu HPP as a project to be funded under the Clean Development Mechanism. The preparation of the Feasibility Study and the Financial and Economic Analysis of the project were financed by Austria and were completed in 2006/2007.
Under this project, a grant assistance will be provided to the Royal Government of Bhutan to assist (Technical Assistance) the Department of Energy (DoE)/Dagachhu Hydropower Project Authority (DHPA) of the Ministry of Trade and Industry, Royal Government of Bhutan for the Preparation of Technical specification of works (Civil & Electro Mechanical) except pre-construction works (roads, bridges, construction power line), preparation of Bill of Quantities (BOQ) of works, preparation of tender level design and specification drawings, where necessary in additional to the existing feasibility study and assist the DHPA in terms of clarifying the design, specification etc. of the works till the award of contract to the successful bidders. Besides the project will also assist and support (Technical Assistance) the Dagachu Hydropower Project Authority during the tendering, tender evaluation and negotiation process including providing engineering and advisory services as part of technical backstopping support to DHPA during 2008 as per the progress of the project.
