Hintergrundinformation
The proposal contributes to the strengthening of regional cooperation and the support to the EU accession, cornerstones in the ADC Regional Strategy by establishing a regional dialogue on life skills education and gender equality and by supporting enabling and harmonized educational reforms. Advocacy, institutional support and the creation of a regional youth-driven social movement concerning the need for life skills education will be mutually reinforcing and key components of the intervention, becoming direct contributors for an enhanced governance in the region and therefore aligning with ADC regional thematic priority of governance and human rights. Additionally, life skills education will mitigate challenges that may reduce young people’s ability to participate fully in many aspects of life, including overall education and access to employment.
