Rahmen für Kleinprojekte KoBü Thimphu 2020

Projektziel
The overall aim of the small project grant fund is to complement and/or support the engagement of ADC in Bhutan with flexible, targeted and non-bureaucratic funding of small projects. This support takes place within the strategic and programmatic policy frameworks of Austria and Bhutan, such as the Three Year Programme on Austrian Development Policy, the Country Strategy 2019-2023, and the 12th Five Year Plan of Bhutan for the same period.
Erwartete Ergebnisse
*) restoration of cultural heritage (monasteries, sanitation) which is also important to decentralized (cultural) tourism development in the Eastern and Southern zones of Bhutan;
*) Tourism development in disadvantaged areas, income generation for rural people, and integration of vulnerable communities and groups incl. children, youth and rural people in accordance with priorities set in relevant Bhutanese Government strategies and policies.
Zielgruppe
The small project grant fund aims to contribute towards poverty reduction, with better integration of vulnerable groups, as well as improved social/health/community services and cultural infrastructure relevant for tourism. The main beneficiaries are usually rural communities, women, children and youth.
Maßnahmen
The small project fund shall also be utilized for undertakings which are conducive to make the development cooperation more professional, more effective and more innovative and shall enhance further the visibility of ADC in Bhutan. Eligibility of those projects is subject to ACO assessments based on well-established criteria.
The MoF Bhutan requested ACO in January 2020 to organize an exhibition on Austrian affairs in Bhutan [30 years of bilateral relations; development cooperation, trade etc.), and on Austrian culture: one SPF could be devoted to this themes. The exhibition takes place late March 2020.
