Projektziel
The overall goal of the Small Project Fund (SPF) is poverty reduction, income generation for rural farmers, integration of vulnerable groups, improvement of sanitation and social/health/community services, environmental protection. Considering the planned phasing over of ADC by end-2023 the SPF also aims to guarantee the sustainability of the completed ADC-funded projects and connecting CSOs between Bhutan and Austria.
Erwartete Ergebnisse
Specific areas of support include livelihood development of the rural people, environment protection and integration of vulnerable communities, support activities connecting to sustainability of ongoing and completed ADC-funded projects as well as to fostering the relations and exchanges between Bhutan and Austria on all levels, in particular on CSO level.
Zielgruppe
ACO together with CSO partners and rural communities aims to efficiently reach disadvantaged people in underdeveloped socioeconomic areas which are not directly targeted through the bilateral development programme.
Contract partners and beneficiaries vary according to the focal areas of the small projects.
Maßnahmen
The small project fund shall also be utilized for undertakings which improve the professional and effective implementation of development cooperation projects and shall contribute to the visibility of ADC in Bhutan. Eligibility of those projects is subject to ACO assessments based on well-established criteria.
Hintergrundinformation
The Small Project Fund (SPF) complements and supports the engagement of ADC in Bhutan with flexible, targeted and non-bureaucratic funding of small projects. This support takes place within the strategic and programmatic policy frameworks of Austria and Bhutan, such as the Three-Year Programme on Austrian Development Policy, the Country Strategy 2022-2025, and the 12th Five Year Plan of Bhutan for the same period.
