Projektziel


The project's intended impact is: Young people embrace new career opportunities for their own growth and country’s social and economic development.

The expected outcome is: Young people gain relevant technical and vocational skills for decent jobs, as employees or entrepreneurs.


Erwartete Ergebnisse


1. The socio-professional integration of vocational education and training (VET) graduates is ensured by tuning and consolidating skills and provision of relevant career guidance at different stages of their educational path.

2. Vocational competences of young people, including women and vulnerable groups, are upskilled and/or reskilled by increasing flexibility of VET programs.

3. New paths towards self-employment/entrepreneurial activities for women and young people (including vulnerable groups) are available.

4. Gender perspectives are integrated in VET to overcome discriminatory cultural norms and community practices.


Zielgruppe


The project’s direct beneficiaries include VET administrators, teachers, and students; general schoolteachers and pupils; young people (including vulnerable groups) interested in upskilling and/or reskilling for better job integration; VET graduates and young people not in employment, education or training (NEET) interested in self-employment/entrepreneurial activities; and personnel from the National Employment Agency (ANOFM) and the Territorial Employment Services. In total, the project targets 3,183 direct beneficiaries.


Maßnahmen


1: Raise VET student´s employability iby developing a curriculum supplementing the Personal Development course delivered in the last year of VET studies (4&5 years programs); approve and implement career guidance systems at the institutional level, with complementary didactic materials; tune in the VET specialized curricula from the perspective of labor market needs by engaging with the private sector and other relevant stakeholders.

2: Conduct a mapping of training providers; develop the capacities of training providers in content elaboration, piloting of flexible training programs, and the capacities of ANOFM staff on implementation of entrepreneurship initiatives and the voucher system.

3: Support young people (including VET graduates, young women, NEET, and youth with disabilities) in developing viable business plans; mentor, coach and provide beneficiaries with the necessary equipment for launching or extending entrepreneurial activities.

4: Introduce concrete objectives and actions to over-come gender disparity in recruitment and retention in VET institutions; create a dialogue platform between local public authorities, NGOs and stakeholders; organize summer schools for young women on career guidance and development of entrepreneurial spirit.


Hintergrundinformation


The project is addressing particular disadvantages and needs of young people on the labour market of the Republic of Moldova such as the insufficient understanding by VET students and potential applicants of VET based career paths, the persisting gender disparities in accessing VET institutions, the large proportion of young people not in employment, education or training, the impediments encountered by people with special needs when choosing a VET institution, and the rigidity of continuous vocational education and training (CVET) offered by the National Employment Agency (ANOFM).
