Projektziel


The MDG Advocacy Group is an initiative of the United Nations Secretary-General. Its objective is to generate greater awareness and momentum beyond the UN community on the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) and to support the Secretary-General's efforts to make the 2010 MDG Summit in autumn 2010 a success.


The MDG Advocacy Group is composed of eminent personalities actively engaged in promoting the achievement of the MDGs. The Group is co-chaired by two Heads of State/Government and includes a former Head of State as well as prominent individuals from the private, policy and philanthropic sectors.


Activities will include among others organising local, regional and global meetings, including a high-level event at the MDG Summit itself. One outcome of the first meeting should be the adoption of a Work Plan for global regional and individual advocacy and outreach initiatives that convey the urgency of accelerating progress towards the 2015 targets.


The activities of the MDG Advocacy Group will be supported by the MDG Task Team. Additionally a small Secretariat will be set up as support for the MDG Advocacy Group. It will be located in the UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs.

    • EU - Mittel der Europäischen Kommission
    • Andere Geber - Diverse Finanzquellen, die dem jährlichen Geschäftsbericht der ADA im Detail zu entnehmen sind.
  • Modalität: definiert die Art der Hilfe (z.B: Sektorbudgethilfe, Kernbeiträge an multilaterale Institutionen, Projekthilfe, Technische Assistenz (personelle Hilfe), Bildungsarbeit im Inland, etc.)
  • Sektor: bezeichnet den wirtschaftlichen oder sozialen Sektor des Partnerlandes, welcher mit dem Projekt/Programm unterstützt wird.
  • Tied/Untied: Ungebundene (untied) Hilfe ermöglicht dem Projektpartner im Entwicklungsland - unter Befolgung der lokalen Beschaffungsregeln - freie Entscheidung über die Herkunftsländer im Zuge der Beschaffung von Dienstleistungen und Waren. Gebundene (tied) Hilfe verknüpft die Hilfsleistung auf die Beschaffung aus dem Geberland oder aus einem eingeschränkten Kreis von Ländern.
