Support for Vulnerable Displaced Syrians in Jordan
Kurzbeschreibung:
Projektziel
Since March 2011, the crisis and civil war in Syria has caused hundreds of thousands of Syrians to flee their homes, and an estimated 150.000 of them are currently living as refugees in Jordan. Newly arrived refugees often find the complex array of services and providers of assistance overwhelming and lack information about them. Also, refugees who come from a primarily rural background arrive in Jordan with little cash and thus in need of material support and many refugees suffer from feelings of isolation and marginalzation. In order to enhance the well-being of vulnerable displaced Syrians and host communities in Jordan, CARE Austria together with CARE Jordan aims to do the following to support Syrian refugees with this grant:
- 1,000 vulnerable households have enhanced access to support mechanisms through targeted case management services.
- 800 vulnerable households have access to urgent cash assistance.
- 200 individuals (at least 60% female) from most vulnerable groups (i.e female-headed households/ women at risk, children/youth experiencing distress, elderly and disabled people) have access to targeted psychosocial support.
