Hintergrundinformation

Tourism is an area in which Austria has internationally recognised expertise, which is also in demand from ADC partner countries. Tourism can play an essential role for economic growth and sustainable development. However, the potential of tourism for sustainable development is preconditioned on the availability of qualified local experts and competent institutions, able to develop the industry towards principles of economic, social and environmental sustainability and ensuring that a substantial part of the value added remains in the country.
